Edit- its been 7 months and still no resolution. In fact I have been met with even more unanswered emails and have yet to recive a watch or a timeline for one. Over 5 years and thousands of dollars spent on things I wasn't excited about because I was told it would help me get what I wanted- and still nothing. The manager should be ashamed of himself.
There have also been multiple instances of employees being fired for taking bribes from customers to skip the line for watches and other shady dealings. Take you money elsewhere- the location in the mall is much better and professional. Im sure this location will either close or get new management soon. No way they sustain with this kind of behavior ā----------------------------------------------------- I've been a customer at Ben Bridge's downtown Portland store for over four years, waiting on the waitlist for a Rolex GMT model. About halfway through my wait, I stopped by the store to check in and was offered an Oyster Perpetual, which wasnāt on my wish list. I was encouraged to purchase it with the assurance that existing customers have a better chance of getting a watch they truly want. I reluctantly bought it in fall 2022, hoping it would improve my chances. At the time, I was told I might receive a watch from my list by spring 2023, but I never heard back.
Throughout this process, Iāve written multiple emails that have gone unanswered and made phone calls that werenāt returned. A couple of months ago, Tim finally responded to one of my emails, saying he would prioritize the GMT model for me. I visited the store to thank him personally, but once again, there have been no updates since then. My most recent email, sent two weeks ago, has also gone unanswered.
I feel incredibly disappointed and undervalued as a customer. Waiting over four years for a GMT model feels outrageous, especially after I purchased a watch I wasnāt excited about to build rapport with this store, yet it seems to have made no difference.Itās frustrating to have invested so much time and effort with no resolution or even consistent communication. I went to the Ben Bridge at Southcenter for my engagement ring and it was such a great experienceā that 5 star service doesnāt transfer. I went to this location for my wedding bandā when I went to look at bands, the Josie was condescending to me when I walked in and insisted I make an appointment, despite the fact that the store was empty and she wasnāt doing anything, and I told her I came to look at one specific item and purchase in one go. Whatever, we made the appointment and came back later, but I didnāt buy it because she was the one the appointment was with and I was NOT giving her that commission after the way she had treated me both when I walked in and during my appointment. I went back a different day to complete my order and Tim was lovely and so kind, I cannot recommend him (just him) enough. When I went back to pick up my completed ring, Josie was there again. I was told in a voicemail that I could just come get my ring whenever, but she asked again if I had an appointment, tried to tell me I couldnāt get my ring without the order slip, and then just wound up giving it to me with my driverās license proving my IDā imagine that. She just handed me the ring out of some tissue paper, no box for transport or anything. Honestly, all of this would be fineā Iām not usually the person who goes to google to complain, I didnāt even address her cattiness when I was in the store for fear she would kick me out without my ringā but her attitude was so rancid that I would never in my life return to this location for anything. Again, Tim was so kind and great to work with, but Josie left a bad taste in my mouth. Itās hard enough that I had to do this myself as my husband is active duty military stationed overseasā her treatment toward me during what should be a sweet and joyful process of getting my wedding band really ruined the experience.
