Slava is amazing. He made my fiancé’s dream ring for me and it’s absolutely perfect; exactly as I had envisioned. He does beautiful work. I’m so glad I went with Marx Jewelers.

I purchased the center diamond loose from another retailer, but that was okay with them. He made the CAD for the design and was willing to use the metal I wanted (10k rose gold) when another jeweler I went to told me they weren’t willing to produce this design with this grade metal… Slava said it was no problem. He produced the ring in-house with his 3D printer. It turned out amazing.

We tried out Morgan Jewelers and they were the ones who wanted to use 14k rose gold instead so f the 10k as I requested. They also couldn’t get the design right to save their lives… after one adjustment to the CAD, they told me to take it or leave it and I’m glad I left it. lol. I would have ended up with an ugly ring. No matter how informed I become on technical terms for ring anatomy and even when I made a detailed sketch for them with measurements, they couldn’t match it. Marx Jewelers could and made the ring exactly as I requested.

I also tried Lake Oswego Jewelers, but they couldn’t respond to their messages. When I finally went in to talk to someone, they were like, “oh, yeah. You messaged just last week, right? Sorry I couldn’t get to you. It’s been busy.” It had actually been three weeks since I messaged them. Then they tried pushing me to purchase a design they already had on their website that was “similar” to what I wanted. It was nothing like what I wanted, so I walked. It seemed like they really just didn’t want to work on a custom design.

I recommend Marx Jewelers to anybody who is in the market for buying a ring! I was looking to purchase an engagement ring and other family members used Slava in the past. I had already known about him, his work, and products. This time I had first hand personal knowledge of the experience.

Price: First, it is hard to beat the competitive pricing of Marx Jewelers. Slava is able to work with customers and the budget you come into the store with. Before coming to Slava I looked around at what the market had to offer, and Marx Jewelers offers similar or better quality at a cheaper price.

Customize: Slava is also very cognizant of personal preferences, styles, and making things look the best within the budget presented. He was very willing to look at all the options and also offering his input. Slava took his time in communicating to me the technicalities involved and giving his best judgment. At the same time, he does not pressure you into anything.

Customer service: Slava was very responsive to my inquiries and requests. He responded promptly and very much catered to my needs. He kept me in the know at all times and worked with me throughout the whole process.

Quality: The band, diamond, and overall ring are high quality. Slava does a great job not only with the presentation but the overall build quality of his products. I have other family members who have used him years ago, and his rings are time tested.

Timing: The overall process did not take long. Slava is very good at working efficiently.

Slava is wonderful! He is extremely knowledgeable and took great care to ensure the engagement ring I was getting for my partner was exactly what I wanted. He designed the ring, then sent me a digital video of exactly what it would look like. Lastly, prior to ordering, he and his assistant Tina created a wax mold so that I could come in and see how it would look in person. I was very impressed with this process and pleased with how incredibly knowledgeable Slava is- he explained things in a way that was easily understood and never once tried to upswell anything. My biggest fear in ring shopping was being met by a typical salesperson, Slava was the opposite. He was very honest and never tried to keep adding things to make the price jump. I even asked if we could take a few things off of the original design and he simply said “of course, it’s your ring and you need to be happy with it.” I appreciated his calm, patient demeanor and his professionalism. Tina is also an amazing and very thoughtful person when it comes to the design and final product; she works hard! The final product is absolutely stunning - a 3 stone vintage looking engagement ring that sparkles so bright and beautifully!
