Claire Reilly was a treat to work with and went above and beyond the call of duty during a recent protracted transaction. On the first visit I took a ton of her time and ended up not getting anything, but her design advice and suggestions helped shape the thought process and saved me from making bad decisions. Was able to describe the qualities and character I was looking for in upholstery fabric to her in the store, and she steered me in the right direction with a obviously encyclopedic knowledge of the options available.

Living deep in the boondocks of Southern Oregon it is tricky to get up to Portland, and she made the process so much easier by texting me images of additional fabric choices after my no-purchase first visit which made all the difference. When I came back a couple weeks later she had an entire table laid out with neatly arranged fabric choices and made everything so comfortable and smooth. No sales pressure or impatience with my OCD and indecision, making the entire process a real joy.

In this crazy world it is a rare thing to meet such a talented, genuine, humane person like Claire in the world, especially in a commercial interaction. Lucky to be able to splurge on some lovely quality furniture from Ethan Allen for my new home, and grateful for the helpful advice and ideas I got at this store from Claire Reilly. We recently purchased family room furniture from Ethan Allen and worked with a wonderful designer, Heather Gutowski in the Portland, Oregon store.

While we were making our purchase I mentioned that we had noticed an issue on the headboard of the Somerset Sleigh bed we had purchased from Heather the previous year. Since Heather was making an appointment to come to our home with fabric choices for our family room furniture, she looked at our headboard, took pictures and sent those photos to her service manager, Brian Montgomery, from Ethan Allen's Kent, Washington office.

Within a week I was contacted by Brian who arranged to visit our home to "fix/repair" the finish. Arriving promptly within the timeline he provided, he quickly determined the probable cause of the problem and took immediate action to repair the headboard to our satisfaction. Brian also answered questions concerning wood and fabric care for our other furniture.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Claire Reilly from the Portland, Oregon store through the Ethan Allen website designer chat. Claire promptly and professionally answered my questions and concerns about a wall hanging for my dining room and provided me with additional options. After a few emails and phone calls Claire put together some beautiful finishing touches for not only my dining room but my living room as well. Her ability to mix colors, textures and design styles was amazing, and exactly what I had hoped for!

Claire's interior design expertise and professionalism, along with her ability to listen to her customers goals and ideas, and her communication skills, gave me the confidence to place the order online. Even after my order was placed, she continued to follow my order and keep me up to date.
