Snow Peak — Local services in Portland

Staff is lame. They don’t hardly know their own products. While in the store one fella with attitude, two that avoided us, another that asked if we needed help then walked away when we asked about sizes. So lame.

Prices are the absolute highest you will pay anywhere for Snow Peak gear. Clothing is a total joke, they have what is basically a Carhart T-shirt for 4X the price. It’s heavy cotton in safety orange. This is very geared to car camping not much for solo or couples doing backpacking. Very expensive compared to similar alternatives.

Does have interesting selection of unique cast iron cookware that you would be more likely to have your staff use than yourself.

Titanium pots and pans are super but very expensive. Buy the same thing at a reasonable price at REI or other resellers.

Interesting to walk through but save your money and avoid if you aren’t walking...

Just wanted to give a shoutout to Manny and his team for providing such an amazing first experience at the Portland store. Manny represents the brand very well not only with his stylish, eye-catching fit but also with his vast knowledge and experience of Snow Peak products. I originally came in for a replacement (which he handled quickly and efficiently) but came out with enough stuff that it was a challenge to carry back everything to the car (he even offered to help me carry them).

The store itself is so beautifully designed and laid out with products in a way that they maximize floor space while allowing customers to envision their next Snow Peak experience.

Most of their equipment would be best served in the car camping realm but they have pieces that have made it into my backpacking gear as well.

This little known brand in the states is quite popular for those who know the Snowpeak brand.

Lifetime warranty on all gear their gear, and with every piece fully capable of integrating with all the rest of their gear it is easy to become a Snowpeak fan!

Their prices help you understand the saying.. “buy once, cry once” but I think you won’t be disappointed when you are reaching for your Snowpeak gear time and time again.
