The seating is comfortable and clean. The service was great. The food was fine. At other ramen places I tend to go for spicy miso ramen. So at this establishment I also had spicy miso ramen to get a more-or-less apples to apples comparison. And it was different. The corn was a little strange. Pickled bamboo shoots were an interesting choice. Not my favorite pickle. Generally prefer ginger and daikon, but that’s not what they give you here, at least not with the spicy miso. The price wasn’t a great deal higher than other ramen places. The rent must be pretty high there so food for them managing their margins, I guess. I really like the way they marinate the chicken which I subbed for the usual pork in the ramen. It’s a nice flavor. So it was a very different spicy miso ramen. If I were to go again I would get one of the chicken and vegetable (greens) bowls as I think I would probably prefer it. I’d also like to try the karaage curry bowl.
The place is pretty clean but the floor was sticky. Not sure why. Probably spilled drinks earlier during the lunch hour. Bathroom was clean apart from the sticky floor.
They have a lot of variety in the menu. You can even bring vegetarian friends. No complaints, really. May or may not be your taste. It’s not my favorite, but I would eat...
Read moreMy husband and I visited Kizuki Ramen for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed the menu and being able to see pictures and descriptions of every ramen bowl. Our waiter was polite and patient with us and even explained a few things as well as what is most popular. I also appreciated that substitutions could be made with the ramen bowls, not limited to just the toppings, something that I haven't seen much of.
I ordered the Hakata ramen, the pork belly was so tender and flavorful, not too fatty, melt in my mouth perfection. The broth was rich and flavorful and paired well with the scallions, wood ear mushrooms and beansprouts, which were all very fresh.
The chicken karaage was delicious, the flavor was great and the crispy breading gave them a wonderful texture. The pork gyoza was so good that we flagged down our waiter so we could get another order of them.
Next time I am on a ramen kick I will come here, and I recommend that...
Read moreFantastic for a ramen shop in America, and just good in general. Lovely, clean, friendly atmosphere with good service and short wait time for ramen once ordered. There’s indoor and outdoor seating depending on the weather, and great bar seating for solo diners. Shout out to Armando for always being so friendly and attentive! I get the tonkotsu tsukemen with cold noodles to keep the noodles bouncy and to keep them from sticking together. They are generous with the topping volume for the tsukemen and I loved that because I don’t have to order extra menma like I usually would. They also let you choose either regular or less sodium which I’ve never heard of for ramen so anyone who is keeping an eye out for their sodium intake, this might be helpful. I order it regular and it’s perfect. Tonkotsu is my favorite and each place can vary in flavor. I know they have multiple locations so it’s not a mom and pop shop but that doesn’t change how...
