suger — Local services in Portland

Have not been in the shop in Portland so this review is for the newer Biddeford store. My daughter and I went in to see the store. I had heard a lot about how the store is full of beautiful and unique products. It is. However, we were completely ignored. There were two other people in the store that were getting the full treatment, even when they were only browsing. I understand that they were there first, but having worked in retail I know it takes a minute to ask questions or say "I will be with you when I am done." We came prepared to buy but left after waiting quite a while and being seen waiting with no acknowledgement. We took our business elsewhere. What we did overhear as we were leaving was discussion between the woman working and the patrons that that they didn't see the need for masks anymore. My daughter and I were masked. The others were not. Were we being ignored because of it? I don't know. But it makes you wonder.

I look forward to checking out the Portland store but I will not be returning to the one...

wish I could give them 10 stars!!!!!! I purchased a bracelet there when my girlfriend and I were on a trip. The bracelet didn’t fit correctly so it kept on spinning so the design was constantly on the back of my wrist. I called the store and they had me contact either the owner or the district manager. They are four hours round-trip from my house so I really couldn’t go there to exchange the piece. I explained to her that there were other bracelets also that I liked. She went to the store took the time and took pictures of them and sent them to me. I saw the other bracelet I liked and she sent it to me and had me return the other one all on there postage expense. When I received the bracelet it was gold tone instead of silver I guess the picture was deceiving so I explain that to her and without a problem she sent me the silver one instead. I can’t begin to say what amazing and impeccable service she offered. If only more people and companies...

We stopped in here yesterday and loved the locally made products and the knowledge of the staff. I fell in love with a couple of pieces but wanted to wait to see if they still stuck with me.

They did, so we went back today for me to try them on. Loved the look and the feel, so we took the plunge and bought a few pieces. The look is perfect for me, and even though the pricing is a bit higher than I usually pay for clothes, that pieces will last a long time and will be completely worth it.

Most of these pieces are custom made for the owner's vision, and are therefore, one of a kind....
