Service after the sale is a motto they could learn. Michelle was great in showing us a power reclining couch. When the couch was delivered a few days later, the delivery guys damaged the rear access cover and hid it from my view. When I reclined for the first time the access cover came off and it was then I notice how LazyBoy uses cardboard on the side panels. For a couch that cost over $4000.00 they use cardboard. However, that is not my issue. The couch started to make a popping sound as if something was going to give way and the reclining back is no longer in mesh or aligned up to the center or right side of the couch, I have not used the left side as I was concerned with the popping sound, I could make it worse or hurt myself falling backwards. I placed a service call back in January 2023 and was advised my service request was 30 days out. When the repair tech came out, he gave me the impression I was in the wrong for not calling sooner (??), and he needed parts, no further discussion took place as I had thought he would be back in a few day's. After not hearing from LazyBoy, I called the Prescott Valley Store as my many attempts to call the service number was not getting thru. I was told a new phone system was in place and my information was going to be emailed to the service center but I had to wait for a response as they were not open on Mondays. When they did contact me the lady said there was no record of parts needed and she would get back to me, Ha!!. I am still waiting for her to get back to me (4 weeks later). Then one day I came home and this huge box was in my drive. After looking at the packing slip I was able to identify it as a shipment from LazyBoy. I had to call Michelle at the Prescott Valley store to ask what is going on. Michelle then contacted the Service Center who then set up an appointment 33 days out and I was told like before no specific time was set, meaning I have to request an entire day off. As stated "Service after the Sale" is not in...
Read moreThis review is a reflection of our experience with the sales person, Michelle. The store manager, Shawn Hunter was great and the product seems quality. My husband and I went to the store back in January and placed an order for over $5000. Michelle was nice at that time because I'm sure she gets some kind of commission or perk for her sales. She told me then that we should expect our order to be in in May or June. She also told me she would call monthly to give me updates on our order which she NEVER did. Mid June came around and I called and was told that my order wouldn't be in until end of July. I didn't want to wait any longer so I asked to cancel my order especially since it wasn't even made yet. Its funny how quick Michelle's attitude and tone of voice switched. She told me I couldn't because it was a special order and that the paperwork said 6 months. My paperwork said 18 weeks from factory again in store she said May or June. She was extremely rude at this point once I asked for a refund vs when I spoke to customer service or her coworkers which just proves she gets some kind of kick back. I asked to speak to the manager and when I didn't he offered a discount or my full refund. I chose my full refund because it was too long of a wait for my liking and I refused to give...
Read moreWe purchased close to 40,000 in furniture from the Prescott store. The salesperson told us that our mattress and adjustable frame bought from another vendor would “ be easily placed in the bed frame at delivery”. We have a large family and entertain a lot so the side of the dining room table is crucial. We were advised that the table we were getting is “ slightly different with round edges but the same size with two leafs” which we were told would come with the tableWe ordered 8 chairs to fit around that table. The table only has one leaf and it’s a very small one that looks more like a kitchen table for 4 people but we now have 8 chairs that can fit around it!. The delivery team also told us that they were not allowed to place our new mattress and frame into the set because it wasn’t purchased from Lazyboy. When I called the store their response was “ I’m so sorry I know how frustrated you are. I wish there was something I could do”. Even after I advised her we flew into the area to receive the furniture and had no other bed to sleep in. I advised her that the delivery team said “ the salespeople always tell customers we can do it when we can’t”. Shocked and feeling grossly mislead by Lazyboy for a sale. Don’t know what we’ll do with this...
