Absolutely wild, this Chipotle experience.. My mother and I went in, last night, around 6:30pm. They were out of carne asada. Whatever, that’s fine. I asked for a salad, with carnitas. This is the very first time I had ever asked for the lettuce on the side, so it isn’t wilted when I have leftovers.. And thank goodness I did — BECAUSE THE LETTUCE WAS ROTTEN. It would have ruined my entire meal, had I not ordered it on the side.
I had it off to the side, down the table, whilst I was eating at home — and I could SMELL how rotten this lettuce was.
Like, forget to throw the salad bag in the back of the fridge away kinda rotten.
It blows my mind how an employee saw that, and thought it was appropriate to serve and sell to someone.
All around, employees didn’t have great attitudes.
I was given barely any carnitas — to the point of needing to cook a steak I had, at home, reserved for another meal; because I barely had any meat in my bowl.
I got Chipotle because I didn’t want to cook, last night — and ended up needing to, anyways.
Thank goodness I had some lettuce, on hand, also.
My mother got a carnitas bowl, and was charged near $5 for double carnitas — when she didn’t order double carnitas.
We didn’t notice all this until we were on the road, and back home — because of how chaotic the employees were, when making the food and checking us out.
Also, the chips were ridiculously stale; tasting days old.
AND TO TOP IT OFF.
I wasn’t gonna write this review. I was gonna call Chipotle, and speak to the manager to, simply, ask for refunds — for the extra meat, from my mother’s order; whilst asking for a full refund, for my order.
However, I can’t — all because it’s an automated system, that can’t understand basic English language.
I, clearly and calmly, went through the motions with this automated system — and it began going in circles, my having to repeat the same thing, multiple times.
Then, it began trying to take my order.
No one has time to deal with that sort of crap — or the experience we had, from this establishment, last night.
I intend to go in there, today, and request the refunds. Though, between being unable to even easily contact the store manager, over how poor an experience this was, at their location; and seeing the recent very poor reviews, similar to my own experience — this review felt reasonable to leave.
(The second photo is of after me mixing my bowl’s ingredients around — with almost no carnitas...
Read moreWow… So chipotle gift cards were on sale at my bank and so I bought one never having tried chipotle because I can make my own Mexican food… And quite honestly I wouldn’t usually go to a chain.
So today I had a busy day and a reason to celebrate… So I thought I would redeem my gift card. Went to the website… Which is beyond horrible. Nothing ever saves. I must’ve typed in my personal information five times today. You couldn’t schedule your order!!!! These days that’s pretty basic. So I stopped everything and waited until dinnertime to place my order.
Which means I had nothing available to make for dinner… I think you see where I’m going with this.
I must’ve tried about 10 times to place my order at dinner time… And for whatever reason after entering my gift card info and my credit card info multiple times the system kept telling me it could not process my order. So I tried the chat. And I don’t even know why any businesses or government organisations bother with the chat feature… Because it always has the intellect of a hamster.
No shock… No help there. So then I was asked to try the 1 800 number… And I thought what’s the point? I couldn’t apparently communicate with the local restaurant …I just ordered wings on DoorDash which arrived at my house within 15 minutes.
Thanks so much for making my special celebratory day so amazing. I even stopped off at the grocery store earlier today to get cilantro so I could make my own pico de Gallo as a compliment to your dish. Which is wasted gas money and mileage.
I am Gen X… We were the creators of all of this technology. The fact that companies have just decided to fire all humans and hand everything over to AI… Way prematurely… Is such an insult. We’re not there yet… Quite obviously. You can’t even process a simple dinner order after somebody has spent an entire day trying to get this to work. And before you blame the technologically challenge… Inputting a credit card number is something I’m very good at. I can handle putting in my address too.
And I still have a gift card… And what the heck for???? Apparently gift cards are too complicated for this particular chain to be able to figure out.
Get your act together. Either hire more humans or fix your AI. I Expect this from the government. But not private...
Read moreThis location is usually the better one in the area for fast and accurate service. This bad review is strictly due to the hostile, "I know it all," and poor attitude of the manager at this location. I don't know her name but she has black hair and appears to be of Asian descent. Everytime I come here and she's working it's a terrible experience. The first time I ordered something here she corrected the way I ordered a bowl but wanted to add lettuce to it in a rude way. Like okay if the lettuce on the bottom makes it a salad instead of having the lettuce on the top which makes it a bowl, educate in a nice way. The next time I came in I heard her speaking in a very condescending way to her staff and yelling at them. Then today I come in and order a veggie bowl with a side of chicken, she makes zero eye contact throughout the entire process and speeds through it then quickly states to the guy working the register it's "a chicken bowl add guac with the chicken on the side." I was confused as to why she would say it that way but when I got rung up it was wrong. It was rung up as a chicken bowl with extra chicken and guacamole. I go back to get refunded for the extra chicken because I didn't have any. The cashier's super nice and then the manager comes to look at the refund... And she says to him in a snarky voice " didn't you listen to me?" I could see he's getting in trouble and I say " It's and honest mistake and I could see how he made that the way you told him what it was." Then she snaps at me without even making eye contact saying that the way she said it is the right way. This lady honestly makes coming here a miserable experience! I can only imagine what it's like to work for her. This place is perfect when she's not here. The staff are cheery and they talk with the customers... When she's here she runs a tight ship, it's like in and out, and robotic. I'm writing all of this so that way whoever hired her can get her some sensitivity training or at least so the cashier that got talked down to because of a mistake that could have easily been made, knows someone is in his corner, even if it's...
