Super sorry to leave this review because I like this store and frequent it often. Great place to buy presents for those visiting Prescott. And they have a great selection. However I have been treated very rudly this week. I called and asked for a book to be set back for me. When I went to get it the clerk put it in the bag and I didn't get to see it. I went to the car and pulled it out to show my husband. It was ripped about an inch on the paper cover. I immediately went back in and said I'd like to see if they had another. The clerk snapped at me saying well did you rip it? I promised I didn't rip it to which she said well it was OK when I put it in the bag. I felt like she accused me of lying ...twice.. not ok. I get they have a lot of people try to pull stuff over. That seems to be the nature of retail anymore. I sat on it a few days and decided to share it with either the owner or manager. I was told we don't know how available the owner is but the manager called me back. She said that people break things all time and expect them to replace it. I did mention the quality mattered..... It wasn't taken well. She also said it is our policy to question them to as if they broke it and usually they tell the truth. Again I felt accused.. Maybe I am too sensitive. But I don't think this is the away to handle it. She ended by saying I hope you continue to shop with us and hung up..probably won't and think the owner should make themselves available. I see they have another current negative review. Maybe their policies need reviewing. Manager just called me I guess I neglected to mention I received a new book. She said she was offended I didn't tell her and I had blown this out of proportion. Guess it depends on how...
Read moreBack in February of this year my family and I visited Prescott Trading Company while we were visiting friends in town. I purchased a pair of Corral Boots from them and after leaving Prescott and returning home the sole began to separate. I called PTC to just get guidance on who to talk to about getting the boots repaired because I figured they would be under some sort of product warranty. I was so well taken care of by Autumn and her staff there. They contacted their supplier and were able to help get my defective boots replaced. I cannot speak more highly of Prescott Trading Company and their customer service. I will definitely by from them again on our next visit...
Read moreWe visited dozens of shops and vendor tents on and near Prescott's historic 'courthouse square' during our very enjoyable visit to the Prescott area, and my favorite place to shop was Prescott Trading Company! A great variety of gifts, Western wear, and Southwest souvenirs for less than most places. They also have a very inexpensive selection of rocks, polished stones, and crystals. For example we bought a fist-sized un-opened geode for less than $5! The smell of leather will draw you in off the sidewalk if the door is open. Don't miss...
