Okay! Strap in because this is a long story, but it is worth a read. AVOID THIS PLACE! So I know this place is under new ownership. I took my engagement ring in to have the wedding band removed and have the engagement ring resized, as this was my fiancĂ©es mothers ring. I was told it would be two weeks (which I thought was a long time to begin with but I left it with them anyways). I called after two weeks because I had not heard anything from them. When I called I was informed the person who did the requested repairs was out of town and it would be an additional two weeks. 1 month to remove the wedding band and resize just the engagement ring?! Absolutely ridiculous! So I had my fiancĂ© pick it while I was at work, they put it directly into the box and I picked it up from my fiancĂ© about 2 hours later. I hadnât even looked at it as I took it directly to Legacy Jewelry (who were absolutely amazing!) Prior to starting the repairs there (which took all of 30 minutes and itâs perfect!) the woman asked the gentleman doing the repair if everything was there and there wasnât anything missing and there were! There were two diamonds missing! The next business day I took the ring back to Raskinâs and informed them there were two diamonds missing when my fiancĂ© picked it up. They had taken a picture of it when I originally dropped it off and confirmed all the diamonds were there when I dropped it off. Luckily they didnât give me any grief about replacing the diamonds and the ring was fixed, which took another week. When I picked it up the older woman who helped me out was very kind, I did however have an issue with another woman there. The older woman said âokay, let me just check and see how much you oweâ (she wasnât aware the repair was free as this was something they had done) so I was understanding that she just had to check and make sure I didnât owe anything. When the other woman came over, who I had dropped the ring off with the first time and again the second time when they needed to fix their mistake, she said âyes she doesnât owe anything, get her out of here.â Really?! I had been very patient and kind through this whole very frustrating situation, as I just wanted to finally have my engagement ring. She was extremely rude. I would not recommend Raskinâs to anyone! First they deceived me in regards to the time it would take for the initial repair, then they lost two diamonds on my ring, then that woman was extremely rude! Oh, also, there are scuff marks on my ring where they replaced the diamonds they lost! I was going to take it back in and have them buff it out but I donât ever want to go back there. I would instead recommend Legacy Jewelry, Scott and Mindi are amazing, kind, quick and provided me a high quality repair. Here is a photo of the ring, all resized and finished (minus the buffing out of the...
Read moreTop notch experience! Words canât describe how perfect the purchase of my engagement ring from Raskinâs was. I was fortunate that my soon to be fiancĂ© was very up front in presenting me with unsolicited pictures of engagement rings, and I was even more fortunate that for some reason, of all the things she told me in the past, I chose to listen to and remember her ring size. Thatâs about where my fortune stopped, and aside from size and a couple styles that interested her, I had no idea what I was doing when it came to purchasing any jewelry, especially something of this life changing magnitude. I did what everyone would do and took to the internet, only to be more confused and more frustrated than anything. Big box and online retailers showed limited selections, and live chats on their websites were as good as talking to a 5 year old. With stores quarantined and closed, I decided to reach out locally. I had no prior recommendations to Raskinâs, but I by chance sent them an email asking when the showroom would re open and if they had anything within my budget. Greg, the owner of the store promptly called me and greeted me with a super enthusiastic and caring attitude. We set and appointment to meet, he was right on time, and had a great selection of engagement rings ready to show. Greg proceeded to really get to know me, and most importantly learn about my soon to be fiancĂ© and what she wanted in a ring. After a few days deciding which one to be âthe oneâ we ordered a ring. Through the entire process from decision on which ring, pricing, making sure I understood what I was actually purchasing, all the way down to just checking in to keep me updated on when I would have the ring, Greg and the whole Raskinâs team were amazing to work with. They delivered a ring far above my expectations, sooner than I had planned for, and made me feel as though I was the most important customer in the world to them, even though I know that my budget was far less than that of some. Because of this I was able to offer the love of my life the perfect ring without any of the stress I had anticipated. Thank you to the entire Raskinâs store, and most importantly to Greg. Oh, and...
Read moreMy dad loved his jewelry, Sadly after he passed the Stone fell from his favorite ring, this was devastating to me because this was a precious pice of family heritage. The ring originally was my grandmother's and she had a capital C followed by a diamond to represent her name, oddly enough it also resembled a cursive J. My dad loved and treasured it, it was his "signante piece" he would tell me of the millions of adventures and stories the ring had traveled with him through. So in no small way did I not feel terrible that I had lost the stone, by the grace of God I still had the band and the determination to amend my mistake. Through many attempts and four jewlers I found a quality and masterful jeweler to take on my project. I Decided to have the Ring restored with a J for the heritage and pride I have to be a Jackson and to replace the diamond and onyx stones just as it was before. I had engraved on the side of the ring "miss you pops" because I overwhelming do miss him everyday.. The things our loved ones cherish become so special in the Absence.
I HOPE THAT I HAVE MADE HIM PROUD in some small way by cherishing and caring for it as he did and my grandma before him. He raised me to fix the issue and to try to leave things nicer then when you found them. It may be silly to be so sentimental and emotional for a ring, but as a Jackson my dad taught me to be profoundly thoughtfull and to find deep appreciation and meaning in life. For that I will always be grateful.
I'd like to show my appreciation to Raskin Jewlers of prescott Arizona for the time and care they have shown for the project, the ease of design, for making the extra effort to reject initial designs and work to make this perfect for me. Also I might add at a very fair price. Good people all around and it meant so much to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
In loving memory to...
