Ocean State Sandwich Company — Restaurant in Providence

Decent spot for lunch but will not return for a breakfast sandwich. When I arrived, there was no one else in the restaurant. The person in the kitchen yelled to another employee to come out and take my order, who seemed completely out of it. I ordered a greek wrap with no tomato and a coffee, he said it was about $10 which was too high. The owner noticed his error and corrected him, he defended his error as there are "two greek wraps", with no apology or eye contact. He then explained to me that "he was on prep and didn't know what was going on". Once my charge was processed correctly, he didn't grab my coffee, and moved on to new patrons. But wait, there's more! 4. Yes, 4 individuals successful came in, ordered their sandwich, and got their food before I did. After 15 minutes the owner asked the cook what I was waiting for, I answered, and he asked the grill person if there was a slip for it, which he confirmed. Sometime during the wait, my coffee was relinquished. I waited from 8:42 until 9:00 and was late for work for my sandwich. At this point, the cook emerged and said "garden wrap?" "No, it was a greek". "oh, yeah" hands it over. Of course it has tomato on it. Zero "sorry for the wait", they completely forgot the order, screwed it up, and just acted like they were still waking up the entire time. Don't open for breakfast if you can't handle 3-5 customers in a half hour. I've seen this place crank out lunch orders, believe me, they have it down to a science. I was there for second time last Wed.Awful ,I ordered wedding soup and Turkey sandwich .I first asked if soup was home made ,I was told yes ,it was not .I used salt pepper oyster crackers and still no taste .wedding soup usually has tiny little meatballs in it ,I got one.I mentioned it to an employee delivering food to another table,and mentioned my dismay .I asked to replace it with NE chowder also out of a bag not as bad as the wedding soup ,but not great either.Next came the sandwich ,now in the picture it shows several slices of turkey sliced at a decent thickness .Not this sandwich two paper thin slices on it soup, sandwich ,soda and chips 19.00 and change plus tip .should have been a whole lot better.When the young man took my soup the gentleman I suspect to be owner or mngr asked him what was wrong ,he made no eye contact w/ me as a matter of fact he passed me delivering sandwiches to another table,never stopped to apologize or asked how anything...

Food options were okay. Nothing I haven’t had before. First time there today and impressions are ever lasting and the lady taking my order was rude. When I tried to tell her it was my first time and wanted to know what she recommends. She said “well why don’t you step aside and take your time cause you’re on the phone (I was also going to order for a friend) so I can take someone else’s order.” I just waited in line with 4 people ahead of me. And you want me to step aside and wait instead of recommending something? Or telling me anything about your establishment? There was another register open. You could have had a small talk with me and been kind. But instead it was just rude attitude and the type of vibe you get when someone just hates their job.
