I ordered carpeting eligible for 5 day install (I paid more than I wanted just to ensure I could get a 5 day install since they only offered 5 day install on select carpeting), my initial quote included the $149 for 5 day install and I told the person that did the measurements I wanted a 5 day install. I took vacation time to be available for the install. I could not see the details of the final invoice because they sent it via text message instead of email, so it was too small to read and after I paid, the link would not allow my to pull it back up so that I could try to read or print it, but since it was more than $200 over my initial quote, I had no reason to think they didn't include the 5 day install since the initial quote had included it. I did not receive a receipt, order number or any communication regarding the install after I paid. I called customer service 2 days later since I was concerned I hadn't heard anything and discovered, after much run around by customer service, that they did not include the 5 day install and could not tell me when they would get around to it. The Home Depot representative at the Racine Home Depot flooring department was very rude when I called and REFUSED to honor the 5 day install. They also did not refund the entire amount that I paid after I cancelled my order. I will not go back to Home...
Read moreI went in for a quote first, it was Wednesday afternoon after the power outage. The lights were still off which I can't blame them for that, the front of the building look completely un kept with boards , garbage overflowing cans and no pricing on anything they were trying to sell. The aisles were crammed and some blocked completely where it could be dangerous in the dark and if a fire was to happen. The quote desk was a ghost town, with no one on hand at all. I was told they were sent home? I was sent to the service desk which I was skeptical I would get a quote. 1 person ! Handling everything, no power , limited system functions and was very nice and was able to give a verbal price for a portion of my list. While we are doing that the breakers behind us are popping off and the lights were on and then off. I seen maybe 20 employees just walking around, didn't ask me once if needed help. I can be understanding but this wasn't just the outage problem. This store needs some inspections and a clean up drastically. The parking lot was filled with 3ft holes which can seriously damage cars. Home Depot needs some help or just close til you can provide the level customers expect in your...
Read moreThis place is not for the customers. They had me pay for a door measurement the guy didnt discuse the door, he decided to add a new frame which wasn't needed. He wanted over 1000.00 to install a prehung door. This took over 2 months to measure and when you call corporate and the store everyone is angry and uses the holidays as an excuse. I payed.before Thanksgiving. Bad excuse. It is Christmas now. You said 3 days though ok so now 2 months later, i go talk to Mike in doors and he acts like he has no idea what a door is. And he was super rude. Wow just wow. Fire the whole door department. Pay for employees that care about customers and their job, because the lack of care from grown adults and managers is ugly and sickening. Not sure why they still have a business, except for customers that need items that don't require emplyees to help. This place lacks skillled employees that have manners. Stop asking me how my service is when it sucks and you did nothing to help. I went to menards and they make sure you are helped with the right measurements and they help with care. Also since I was paying they helped me pick out a door I wanted not the 3rd...
