Capital Flats & Magnolia Square Apartments — Local services in Raleigh

If i could put zero stars i would. This apartment complex is absolutely disgusting and the management is beyond incompetent. The laundry room is filthy, with machines that are either constantly broken or covered in grime. The management changes almost every month, and it’s like they don’t communicate anything with each other. I’ve had to explain the same issues over and over again, and every time, they have no clue what I’m talking about. Are they even documenting anything?!

The halls are dirty, and there’s a persistent roach problem that they can't seem to fix. I pay for pest control every month, and all they do is spray— it doesn’t even last a week. The place is crawling with pests- even just walking down the hallway. Then there are ridiculous fees for trash collection, even though we take our own trash out.

The office staff is never on time and rarely even in the office. It’s nearly impossible to get in touch with them if you work full time because they don’t answer the phone, and emails are barely responded to. I’ve been looking for any way to get out of my lease because I’m so stressed out here. Sure, the rent is cheap, but it’s not worth it. Save yourself the headache and find somewhere...

The leasing agents get an attitude whenever you ask them for help on things that they previously said they would work on for you. So in so many words, they take weeks if ever to get back to you and if you come to them for a follow up they get upset like youre bothering them. The apartments are very raggedy and they always smell bad. Don't move here if you want silence in your apartment. The walls are very thin and people above are very loud and inconsiderate of people underneath them. My toilet has been running since I moved in and maintenance claimed they fixed it but it's running five months later causing me to pay more for sewage and water. Roaches roam freely around the place. Please do not move here! Unless you want to invest your hard earned money into living in a dump. Not only that the leasing agents will make you feel bad for asking for help fixing issues which makes this dump of a place even less appealing. I hate that I moved here. I honestly regret it. Just moved into Capital Flats Apartment complex and it went incredibly smooth. No problems getting in and out the building and the surrounding area.

Jason was a great help in getting everything prepared and answering any question I had for my move in and I am sure he will continue to act in this helpful manner.

Update:

Moved out after my first year as I didn't feel safe in the area, nor had any sort of service from the staff once Jason left.

The apartment was loud (I could hear my upstairs neighbor snoring & each foot step/conversation from above and beside my apartment).. If you are a light sleeper, pray that your upstairs neighbor doesn't wake up before you.

I am a very clean person, but I would still get all kinds of bugs as the hallways and apartment overall wasn't ever that clean.

I hope that it has gotten better since I moved out and that nobody else makes the same mistake that I did of signing a lease here before...
