Currently eating at home what I ordered from this spot, been wanting to try this place for a while. I got a chicken bowl and 2 tacos. Ok so let me start by saying this: its not authentic which is not a big deal to me. It’s not even bad, it’s actually pretty good but it’s literally food you can make at home. Like if you would get a taco kit from the grocery store you can produce the SAME exact thing. Again, not a big deal to me. Its good and all but the reason I’m going 3 stars on this one is the price. For it to not be authentic or even more “taco night at home” tasting than Chipotle they need to come off the price for real. It is more expensive than Chipotle by the way. For my 2 tacos and chicken bowl and a small side of queso was $20 and the tacos are the size of like the ones that again come in a “at home taco kit”. When i seen the price of the tacos before I ordered i asked the woman at the counter about the size of them because $10 for 2 regular size tacos is just ridiculous but whatever I give everything a try. If they’re going to charge that price at least give the people 3 tacos LOL I mean seriously. For anyone who is wanting to try this place, I’d still say give it a try but be prepared to pay for (good) “at home, taco kit” type of action. It tastes like if your significant other really out did themselves on “taco night” if you get my point. The customer service is excellent. The chips they give you are really good, the queso is good too but also it tastes like the lays queso they sell at Walmart everything tastes like some store brought stuff honestly but whatever. Worth a try, but prices need to come down,...
Read moreWe absolutely love this place. We have eaten here many times, as well as the Morehead City location. Last night, we got two burritos and Queso/Chips. Unfortunately for my wife, they made two of my burrito. Not being in the service industry for 10 years, I know what to do when this happens and Madi the manager did just that. My wife called, Madi apologized and said she would make it right for us whenever. We came up there today and she did just that with a smile. We got our burritos today and the food is just great. You can taste the quality of the ingredients, as well as feel that homegood feel of the workers in every bite. If you considering going to the food hall, try Dank Burrito first, I promise it's the real deal and the best burritos in the Raleigh area. They have loads of specialty (Hispanic, Asian, American, etc in styles) burritos, bowls, salads, kids food, and other sides like homemade Guacamole and Queso (plus homemade tortilla chips!). We love it here and we have been all over the country trying food; they are forever on our list and this experience just solidified our love even more. Thank you Madi and thank you to all who work there. Keep up the great food and...
Read moreThought I had finally found a gluten free option in transfer food hall, turns out thay the 2 times i have previously had the pork belly here my server has just made up the allergen information, and assured me that it was 100% gf both times. I was not impressed to find out today that the marinade has soy sauce, and that both staff on today and previous visits didn't seem to know that there is wheat in regular soy sauce, this is an allergen and you should really take this stuff seriously! I was also not impressed that they also seemed the need to state that 'i hadnt had a reaction'. Coeliac disease is a serious illness that affects people long and short term, and can be extremely painful and uncomfortable for weeks. If i blamed random businesses every time i had a reaction that would be unfair, as the source of contamination is hard to know, especially if businesses are not honest or trained to communicate allergy advice. For any coeliacs out there: do not trust this business when they mention gluten...
