I've seen 4 different doctors in the 4 visits I've had with this practice. I will NOT recommend this practice to anyone. See Visit 4 for the icing on the cake. Visit 1 - Doc was on maternity leave, but the woman who came in from retirement was an absolute gem. I wish she was my doctor for life. Visit 2 - Doc was a woman who did not smile or attempt to get to know me, my lifestyle, my situation. In & out very quickly but very impersonally. All was routine until one of my prescriptions could not be renewed because the doctor was no longer with the practice. Visit 3 - Doc was a man, very knowledgeable, kind of pushy, but much more invested than the previous visit so I was happy. I asked to make sure I'd be seeing him the next visit for consistency, he said no becuase he's leaving the practice in a month. He scheduled me for a quick followup so I could get established with yet another new doctor. Visit 4 - Long wait to be seen, verified that after 4 visits the front desk does not know how to smile or engage with patients, and when the doc came in it felt very rapid fire. She's been there 4 years so at first I was happy to believe she probably wouldn't be leaving the practice also. Instead of having a conversation about why I'm not using a face cream consistently, she simply upped the dose of the pill I take, and added on a morning cream - all while talking with the assistant person and I felt like an after thought. She didn't tell me what the cream was for, we didn't discuss any active breakouts or how often, etc. which is something I'd want a new doctor to ask me. When my insurance declined the prescription for the new cream I found out it's primary purpose is to treat leprosy. Why would my doctor prescribe a leprosy cream for a face that did not have an active breakout, or discuss what/why/etc. How about we try the upped dosage of the pill and use the night cream consistently and see how I do..... before we prescribe me a $700/mo cream for leprosy. I'll be looking for a new practice before I run out of any of my...
Read moreThe communication/transparency was dismal at my visit(s) with them. I, and my husband, will not be coming back and we have been coming to Andrus for years. I was scheduled to have a mole check and skin tag removal during the first visit after it became integrated dermatology. I get to the appointment and the dermatologist tells me that we will need to schedule a separate appointment for the skin tag removal. She tells me that I can have as many skin tags removed as I want during the next appointment. So I set up the second appointment. At the second appointment I was told that the appointment was set up incorrectly. I was hurried and rushed while the dermatologist took off various skin tags. She tells me that there are other things on my skin that are not skin tags. She spends a lot of the time taking some of these other things off. (Had I known that these were not included in the appointment, I would've asked to reschedule the appointment for more time, or paid more then so that I could have everything done at that time.) I was unhappy when I left because not all of my skin tags and other skin tag-type things, that I wanted to get off, were off. I called and asked if the dermatologist could finish the job. They wanted to charge me for another appointment. I couldn't believe I was being charged again and so the office manager spoke to me. She agreed to schedule an appointment for the dermatologist to finish the job. I get there and, once again, there was a communication issue. Apparently, the office manager thought I just wanted one of the skin tags removed. The dermatologist was arguing with me about it. I gave up and said "fine, let's just take off the one skin tag and then I am gone." She insisted that I meet with the office manager. The office manager did nothing to help the situation. This practice nickels and dimes you, there is not good communication between the person making the appointments and the dermatologists, and they are...
Read moreScheduled for 2:40 with a PA. Arrived early for paperwork, as instructed. The receptionist said very rudely, “Yeah, I cancelled your appointment because you’d already rescheduled three times. I did try calling. You scheduled on zocdoc, which doesn’t communicate with us, so that slot was already taken. But he may be able to fit you in.” I checked last night and the appointment was still on, so she literally cancelled less than 24 hours before. Needless to say, I left and will not be trying to book again. It’s not my fault that your internal calendar wasn’t translated to zocdoc booking, and I shouldn’t be paying the price for an operations oversight that has probably caused numerous booking conflicts. I rescheduled only once, from this Tuesday to this Thursday. The other appointments I cancelled were unrelated and occurred weeks ago. But I knew if I tried to argue, she’d just be less inclined to help me because I was already getting an attitude just from showing up. Office was old and full of elderly people. No one who entered the building was under the age of 45 besides myself. So if you’re looking for a quality experience, try a medical spa that has a dermatologist because this was just unprofessional and kinda grubby. Don’t let the website and online scheduling fool you. This place is disorganized...
