I have a whole sob story I'd like to share... I've always battled with my facial skin. I've tried creams, pills, facials, natural remedies, hardcore peels, microderm and anything else you could think of. I would rub dog poo on my face if someone told me it 'might' clear my skin up from my milia acne (little bumps on my face).

My dermatologist referred me to Synergy for an extraction facial- needless to say my face did NOT react well to this procedure as my pores are just too small. When booking my appointment for my extraction facial, I booked one for the day of when I called (they had one available for the same day) and one for about a month out.

After getting home from my extraction facial and going to sleep that night, I woke up the next morning bruised and fire engine red (I didn't go to work for two days). I called Synergy to cancel my next appointment because of how my face reacted (again, Synergy didn't do anything crazy to my face, I simply did not react well to the procedure/chemicals because my pores are so small and my skin is SO sensitive).

The front desk coordinator was polite when I cancelled and didn't ask any questions. About two hours later, I received a call from Anna, the owner of Synergy Spa. I really was shocked someone took the time to call me back to see why I cancelled, let alone the owner of the place. Anna took about 30 minutes to discuss my experience with me and requested I come in to see her personally, free of charge. I was hesitant, but blown away by her customer service so I decided to give it another go..

I let my face heal a bit and went in about two days later. I had a consultation with Anna and one of her nurses on staff, Emily. Though I felt like a red, one-eyed monster because of how my skin looked, they made me so comfortable. Anna and Emily both discussed options with me and Anna made me feel so confident that I would be able to get beautiful skin!

She recommended blue laser therapy treatments-- this is what I consider a pricey procedure, but they worked with me. My first treatment was complementary to see how I liked it and because of my past experience, then they worked with me on the rest of my treatments. Needless to say I'm about six treatments in and couldn't be HAPPIER with my skin!

Emily (staff nurse) who always makes me feel super comfortable with zero make up on (which is a big thing for me) recommended a laser resurfacing treatment to get rid of all my dark spots and acne scars. I've also had this procedure and will be going back for my second one next week.

I really can't say enough positive things about Synergy Spa. This sounds corny, but Anna and Emily have really changed my life around just in time for this summer. I'm 24 years old and this is the first summer I feel like I've been able to wake up, splash some water on my face and hit the pool or the beach. No more worrying about cover up or how my skin looks.

Hi Anna, I just had my first consultation today and I had to write you immediately and tell you about my experience. I am new to North Carolina and after an extensive search for a new office for skincare, I decided to book an appointment with Synergy. What sold me was how informative your website was combined with the reviews. I absolutely loved the "Ask Anna" videos and watched them all. I could tell that you really put your heart and soul into Synergy, and you truly believe in what you do. I decided from there to book with you. When I walked in the door I was greeted by the most friendliest receptionists. They were both professional and pleasant. My appointment was with Monica at 4pm, and I have to tell you, she is amazing. From the moment we met, till the time I left, she just made me feel so welcomed. I asked her a million questions to which she showed me patience, understanding and provided solutions. She truly made me feel as if my time was valuable to her, and not the other way around. I could tell she really listened to me, and together we put together a treatment plan based on my needs. I was also very interested in switching my at home skincare products to Synergy's. Monica asked me questions, did a brief review of my skin, and wrote down for me the products I would need. Per my request we walked out to the front so she could show me the products she wrote down for me. But, then she went above and beyond by explaining them to me, what they do, and how they apply to my skin type. She was extremely knowledgeable, and I felt comfortable that I was in good hands. I was so impressed with the level of attention and care I received that after I left Monica I went straight to the receptionist desk and booked an appointment. How could I not? I've never had acne in my life until recently (which feels absurd because I'm 30). So when my face broke out I had absolutely no idea how to deal with it. My mother suggested I get a facial at Synergy, which turned out to be amazing advice. My Aesthetician's name was ASHLI. If you go to Synergy for a facial you absolutely unequivocally must ask for her. She was genuinely enthusiastic (which I love), bubbly, and upbeat. She was extremely knowledgeable about not only what she was doing but also the science behind it. She explained what was going on with my skin, what could be causing it, my options of what to do about it, and she explained the steps of the facial quite well. Any question I had she had the answer to, which was especially helpful for me. She was also very down to earth about her own skin routine (which made me feel better and less alone in what I was going through). She recommended some products for washing my face that I think have really helped. She also wasn't pushy about buying the specific products Synergy carries (I hate when businesses do that). I purchased a bunch of their stuff anyway though and I am very happy with it. I was truly struggling with what was going on with my skin when I arrived at Synergy, and Ashli really helped me. I would strongly recommend Synergy and especially Ashli.
