I moved out in May and was the best decision I've ever made. I have lived in many apartments from Atlanta to now in St. Pete and this was by far my least favorite. Taking me a while to write this review as I've been busy but now have time to share. We had a neighbor below us BANG on our floor every night and come up and threaten us just simply for walking around our apartment, we don't walk loud at all and walk just like anyone else. Not our fault we can't control the construction of the building. He was being super dramatic and shouldn't have been living in an apartment complex to begin with if can't stand a little ounce of noise. The leasing office did nothing to help at all even though our life there was a living he** and we were walking on egg shells. So we decided to leave early (thank God) and they charged us two months to break our lease early (when should have been free because we were threatened) and then messed up our move out dates and were rude when we showed them emails as proof that they messed it up (we did our due negligence and sent the email 60 days prior so when we showed them proof I guess they didn't like being shown they were wrong). Overall a horrible experience, so many nice places to live in Raleigh, check elsewhere! Plus the pool doesn't seem to get...
Read moreI've lived at The Dillon for about a year and can say, without hesitation, that it is the loudest place I have ever called home. As I type, I can hear every lyric of a song that is loud enough to overpower a thundering motorcycle. Before that, a fire engine left the station across the road, sounding its siren and horn like a duet. The two brick apartment buildings that make The Dillon create an amplifier, intensifying the noise of trains, sounding their horns in almost comically long stretches. You will get used to the sound enough to be able to fall asleep, but will wake up around 3am every day or so as a train driver really puts some gusto into the horn work. If you move in soon, you can also experience an apartment that shakes. My desk chair now vibrates as I work from home, frequently muting myself on calls due to loud mufflers, loud music, sirens, and construction. Living here is an intense,...
Read moreThe Dillon is just okay IMO. The gym could be much better, it's massive but barely any equipment outside of cardio. The pool is small and gets pretty shadow-y in the afternoon due to it's ground level location and the location overall is somewhat loud at night and can get a little sketchy with protesters, but to be expected with a downtown apartment. The staff is cool, the amazon lockers are great, the clubroom is pretty nice, and the view from the roof is unmatched. The apartments are great with wood floors throughout and awesome appliances. If you live in the second building (across the street from the leasing office) you won't have the pretty city views or the clubroom, etc. Parking is somewhat of a hassle for guests unless they wanna pay. Not to mention paying as a resident is a bit expensive. There's also ALWAYS someone outside of the apartments...
