We have enjoyed legends in the past but are going to rethink going in the future. After waiting in a very long line, my wife was told her bag was too large and she couldn’t come in. She was carrying a normal size purse, mind you that was nearly empty, and the lady refused to let us in. We’ve gone many times before with her carrying the same bag and had no issues. Not two seconds after we walk away, we see two girls carrying TWO huge tote bags walk out. We snagged a photo and showed the woman at the door, confused they those girls were allowed in. Her response ā€œguess we missed seeing their bags earlier.ā€ Like ma’am I’m sorry that my wife and I present very femme and straight-looking and our aesthetic didn’t match your vibe, but refusing to let us in for no actual reason is WILD. I am all about safety so totally understand having a bag size rule, but 1. You need to enforce it to everyone, not who you hand select and 2. after leaving we checked the website and then measured my wife’s purse and it is within the allowable size of bags allowed. This was going to be our last stop for Pride and we had a massive group of friends coming to meet us who we told to go elsewhere instead. This really ruined the mood for our Pride weekend. We’re disappointed legends.

Drag show is good given it's not a show from a big city like Washington DC. The biggest issue with the drag show is there is so little room for the show. People block the entrance and it is a major fire hazard if the fire marshal ever wants to see he would def habr to come on a Saturday. The pool tables are ok but major lost income they could put more of a restaurant in this area and have a wall that collapses in. You could have a bigger room that way. The crowd is a bit like DC to liche if you don't have friends in the area people don't really approach you unless you are GQ. They could def make the place a double floor to increase sales as well the dance floors are a bit small. The restrooms could be moved to make more room for the dance floor.

Halloween party at Legends just days before October 31st, 2009, I had already drank two screw-drivers (drinks with vodka and orange juice) and after dancing so much to the music that had already played. I was just about to sit down and the DJ put this song on. (AC/DC - Have a drink on me). I thought oh hell yes, put on something I know. Dressed as the blue-men group with a friend's girlfriend, I rocked out to this song as it played. God that night was intense.

The club is great and I love the set up. We went this past weekend with a group of first timers. Wanted to show them the amazing drag show we love so much there and a good time so I paid $360 for vip. This was to include, per their vip advertising on their site, two bottles, our own roped off private area and our own server. While it did include the two bottles we paid for and the roped off private area I wouldn’t really call the host a server. Because they’re under staffed there is a button in the vip section we would press each time one of us needed a drink refill. Like all clubs liquor bottles in vip are in a locked case. We understood that. The host was very quick to respond every time the button was pressed and always so friendly. His name was James. I wouldn’t necessarily say he was a server because he was so busy and simply couldn’t accommodate every need we had. For instance one certain bar in the club served food. We were unable to have this food ordered from our section and brought to us. We had to make several trips to the other side of the club to the one bad that served food. I guess we had a much different idea of having our own server. Vip costs at this club are right on the money with all other clubs but the service received in other clubs was a bit more worth the money. For instance I spent a good majority of the night keeping drunk people out of our section. There was no staff to handle that. We had people falling all over the place into our section knocking the rope and poles down. Not to mention several continued to sit on the very small stairs we used to enter and exit the area. It was annoying to continue asking people to move so we could come and go. This doesn’t happen in other clubs. Other clubs are more staffed so there’s usually someone standing outside vip to ensure no one else enters. Because there was no staff to be concerned with our section we didn’t even trust leaving our personal belongings in the section not attended so we had to make sure one of us was there at all times. Not to knock the club and the staff but I just feel like their vip pricing shouldn’t be the same as other clubs when so much less is offered. Other than that we had a great night. I chose to leave this review so that anyone else that’s curious about vip knows the experience we had and my personal opinion on it. James was amazing. He just can’t do it all himself and we get that. But it definitely wasn’t worth what we paid compared to other clubs and the way they cater to you in vip and make sure your area and personal items are safe and protected at all times.

Also please note everything in there is cash only which is a huge inconvenience and safety issue with nightlife. No one (at least not me and my crowd) want to carry that kind of cash on them to a club in the middle of the night. That was a bit strange. The line at the atm was outrageous all night and I’m sure the fee was ridiculous. Just seems odd a business doing all cash only. The ONE spot in the entire club that accepted card was the person...

I have been going there for almost a decade I think 2004 was the first time. It's changed allot. some good and some not so good. There is lots to do on Friday and Saturday nights and during the week its quiet. I would suggest bringing back the Sunday Drag show and ditching the Gogo boys as well as at least having the dance floor open. The Gogo boys are cute don't get me wrong but I miss my queens and feel cramped considering 3/4 of the club is shut down on Sunday. On Friday and Saturday night it is the place to be most of the time. I run into lots of my friends and catch up on that weeks events. With out fail you will see some characters which is always fun. The club can be a bit clicky at times but for the most part it's friendly. In recent years it seems that more straight people have found this place which is ok but remember it's a gay bar so if your a cute guy and another guy offers you a drink don't get offend, after all you chose to come to our club. Love the staff and the queens they always make me feel like I'm welcome. Drinks are cheap and not watered down

Update. I went there last night for what will probably be the last time. My how this place has become a shell of its former self. The whole place looks run down. The beautiful bar that was the View is now gone and covered is some tacky looking cloth on the walls. The drag show now charges a separate entrance fee and the house cast is gone. Just not a good place...
