I've taken my dog to this clinic for almost 4yrs & I have to say it has gone down hill in professionalism. I recently took my dog in for a wellness check, update on vaxes & a health certificate for travel. Dr. Rachel Israel-Wise obviously didn't read my dogs file because she said I cannot sign off for travel if he is currently having intestinal issues (he was not, he had days before & now was good -I stated that prior), she recommended putting a net/hood over my 9yr old dogs head to curb his scavenging. I stated that I was not going to do that & her demeanor changed towards me & stated that if I want my dog to have chronic intestinal issues & in pain then don't use a net, it was merely a suggestion. What? Did this vet just put my dogs intestinal issue on me because I said no to a net for my dogs head?? I know my dog very well, he is on a strict diet & I know stress can bring on bouts of his intestinal issues as well. During this brief visit she checks his ears & heart -she finds he has a "grade 3" heart murmur (she's not a cardiologist to know what grade) & recommends an echocardiogram, she said she would get me a quote, left the room & never came back. She had an assistant (who was very kind) provide me the info. This is a vet that just told me my dog has a GRADE 3 heart murmur & he cannot travel, also she didn't address any other concerns afterward that I had about my dog during the wellness check. I left the office in disbelief. When she sent me an email regarding my dogs bloodwork & suggestions (again the net). She also stated that she did look at my dogs gait & pain level (absolutely not true) & told me that a wellness exam & health certificate are scheduled differently than an appointment w/concerns. Isn't why they call it a wellness exam? We were doing both according to when I scheduled the appt to prepare for travel, along w/update on vaxes. Dr. Wise felt I was upset because she wouldn't sign off for travel. Sure, I was disappointed but more concerned for my dog. If the airline didn't requiring a health card I wouldn't have known! After the emails & the appt I lost trust in her & requested she not provide further svcs for my dog, she said she would have to talk to the office mgr & she could not dictate what the other vets on their team would charge. The office mgr. Mike called- he was professional & kind. He also reimbursed me for the exam & agreed a different vet on their team will see my dog in the future. My dog had his echocardiogram - Cassie was very nice & I thanked her for staying neutral under the circumstances. I received the invoice w/Dr. Wise as staff member for echocardiogram. I spoke w/Arianna to ask the name of the cardiologist & asked why Dr. Wise is on the invoice, she said because she ordered the echo after seeing my dog. NO SHE DIDN'T. I scheduled it after speaking w/Mike. Maranda scheduled the echo. Arianna proceeded to tell me she knew EVERYTHING (emphasized by her) about my dogs situation & I said oh I bet the whole office does, she said yes! How unprofessional & rude. I let her know I'll be taking my dog elsewhere, her reply was "that's understandable." Great customer service. I do not want my dog being treated by people of this nature. I miss Dr. Estrada, he was awesome, too bad he left the clinic. Update: I received all records from this clinic, per my request. The current doc is inaccurate & Dr. Rachel Wise as the RDVM wrote it. AFTER she was not to see my dog again. (complaint above). The doc also says that I regularly fly to Mexico, which I don't & my dog has never flown anywhere. Also said my dog pants when it's cold outside. ? NO he doesn't. He also has switched food that SHE prescribed, yet stated that he is on his former diet which his dietary indiscretion could be the cause of his bowel issues. This vet should not be treating animals- lacking trust & of attention to the actual facts at hand, as well as incomplete exams. Sketchy behavior at this clinic. I'll be filing a complaint to the board. Negative stars...
Read moreI have had both really bad and good experiences at this Veterinary office.
Unfortunately, they have taken away their voicemail system during lunch and after hours which requires an individual to send requests through their website. During work hours is the only time you can leave a VM or pretty quickly speak with someone at the front desk. A few requests I sent prior were never followd up on. One of the requests was regarding response to my cats prescription food from Chewy and secondarily a recent request I called them about was to fill a first time prescription to which Ariana said that their system called and emailed me, to which I let Ariana know I have absolutely no communications from their office on the day they said it sent out. She then pretty much stated that she would tell the backstaff but because its a big company that provides their texting they wouldn't do anything about it. I wouldn't rely on their communications system as its poor. I highly recommend only calling them. Lists I have received in the past on what presciption foods I could try hadn't been updated in some time and a majority of companies were discontinued some time ago. I have only had to go to their emergency vet once when my cat was yowling in pain while trying to defecate and the assistant wrote down what I told them was happening to her incorrectly as well as the emergency vet sent her home marking it off as stomach upset after giving her an IV bag of fluid and intestinal upset medication.
Fortunately, we were able to get a last minute appointment the next day with Dr. Wise who was able to tell just by examining and palpitating her stomach that something much worse was happening. Not only was she in pain but her spleen was swollen. We found out later through testing she has severe IBS. I was absolutely livid that the emergency vet sent her home in terrible pain.
They are good at answering their phones when in office, getting appointments scheduled quickly, and all of their front staff employees are incredibly friendly. They really do care for the animals that come through their door. Dr. Wise herself is caring, knowledgeable, and invested in pet care. I couldn't imagine not having her as our vet especially in...
Read moreThis review has been delayed a long time--2+ years--because it's hard enough for businesses in Redmond to be successful and I thought the passage of time would temper my feedback.
My low rating is based on an experience I had with All Things Pawsitive when I day-boarded my dog there. She is a young German Shepherd Dog, and whenever I picked her up at the end of the day, I would ask the technician about the day; how did she do, and is she OK? The responses I received were always "She did great" and "she always sits off to the side to rest when she's tired."
One evening I picked her up and was escorted into an examination room by the technician, who told me my dog bit another dog. I was shocked and surprised and asked for details. I felt bad for the other dog and for my own. The tech said the bite was unprovoked and that she observed that my dog had elevated levels of cortisol. Wait--what? The technician also said that she had observed a history of anti-social behavior in my dog. What--what? what?
I was surprised by all of this and when I checked out that evening, I was told by the desk attendant that my deposit for daycare would not be refunded to cover the cost of medical attention to the other dog. I didn't fight it, because I just wasn't prepared for all the news thrown my way.
Following the incident, I took my dog to the vet for a check-up. He discovered that her front right paw was injured, which explained why she might lash out at another dog, especially if that dog were to come into contact with my dog. There's a very good chance my dog was injured at All Things Pawsitive.
We haven't gone to any daycare facility since this incident. My dog is happier and I actually am healthier because I spend more time with her and walk and exercise her a lot more.
To All Things Pawsitive: your daycare practices are an accident waiting to happen. Up to 35 dogs are put in one room with a cement floor. They are 'supervised' by one technician who spends her time taking photos of the dogs to post on Facebook. Any opportunities to share feedback about animal behaviors with...
