I do not think that I have ever had a better experience with a business than I had with Dario and tecnouno. You can read every review (I think I am their 50th); everyone that brings their computer in leaves 110% satisfied in every respect.
I had work done on my 2008 macbook pro at the apple store 3 years ago. The contrast is amazing. First, the economic, practical aspect of tecnouno vs apple store:
Similar problem requiring major internals replacement (graphics card, in this case), cost me nearly $500 at the apple store. TecnoUNO: $190. I received a quote ~ 5 minutes after arriving, waiting in no lines. I hardly need to mention that the apple store is a different experience in that regard. At the apple store, they sent away my computer, and it was gone for 3 weeks. Even though Dario had to order parts, the turn around time was 3 days. As it turned out, my mother board also had an issue he identified. He replaced it... AT NO COST. I was interested in upgrading to a SSD. He ordered the part, installed it, AND transferred my files for only the cost of the drive itself. Try that with apple.
Beyond the outrageous value, I would be remiss if I neglected to mention the time Dario is willing to spend to educate his customers, and lay out the options. He did not apply any pressure (which he gave himself no incentive to do, as he installed the additional parts with no profit for himself), but pointed out that while the computer is open, other things can easily be done. He helped me make an informed choice, walking me through the pros and cons of various changes that could be made. After I dropped it off, he was communicative with the progress on the computer. To top it all off, I was late biking to the their place from Stanford, and he stuck around an extra few minutes so i wouldn't have to come back another day.
Pleasant, economical, convenient and educational. Don't even consider going anywhere else. Dario and everyone else must have supreme job satisfaction running such a tight ship!
[Edit] came back ~ 8 months later for another service. Another phenomenal experience with TecnoUno Computer repair. Worked with a relatively recently hire. He was both personable...

They told me a sensor won't work as they were ready to hand it back to me after a first repair. I had to insist that it was important, and when they actually tried they succeeded within a few minutes to fix it.
For the second repair, they didn't check or bother to tell me the sensors weren't working again before handing it back to me. After I brought it back they kept it for 2 business days and a weekend without working on the device.
The display was messed up too, and that may be a related issue (could not get many clear answers from them on details around this). They used a delayed spare part as an excuse for not bothering to check it in a couple of days, but the part wasn't necessarily needed depending on the result of their re-examination of...
Read moreI couldn't be happier with the service and quality of work on upgrading my system. TechnoUNO worked with me to identify the best components for my new needs, performed the upgrades with minimal disruption to my own schedule, and I couldn't be happier with the results. My system is humming!
This was a night vs day difference from what other places, like Central Computers offered me - they told me my request wasn't possible for my rig (GPU, SDD upgrades), but they'd keep my system for 2 weeks before taking a look. At TechnoUno on the other hand, Dario looked in my system right away, told me exactly which components would and wouldn't work, helped me pick them out, and performed upgrade work in 1 DAY to ensure I wasn't without my system for long.
TechnoUNO is now my #1...
