Fact: My wife has Toxic epidermal necrosis which is 100% the worst thing you could ever see. 5 days into this at a so called burn center when they started actually treating her humanely only after I sidebarred the doctors and reported a nurse who was offended because I was on the phone when my fatherIL asked me where the nurse was and I said she was in the room. She in-turn asked me if I had a problem (aggressively) then asked who I was talking to. It was because she had not been fed ng protein when it was ordered 8hrs earlier. They sat my wife's ng tube pump on a trash can for hours when she could die of infection very easily. Another nurse was administering care and didn't know my wife's diagnosis (she had been here 3 days!) when I asked. The nursing station did not know how to contact my wife's attending physician! They would NOT let me be with her at night when they knew she could die at any moment (HEARTLESS). It took me reminding them that she was supposed to be in a specialized bed. 32 hrs later it finally shows up after constantly pinging them! This was a steril ICU supposed to be the best of the best. I called the on-calI doctor and she blew me off and said call back tomorrow I dont know anything about your wife ( she has a computer that would tell her ) it was simple qustion when she cut me off! I can only hope that my wife survives this hospital. I can only scream in my truck knowing she is held hostage in this hospital. My wife is there now (20 May 22) and very well die because of the lack of professionalism, she is only 36 years old. Save your loved ones life and do not bring them to this hell on earth! May my wife know (she is in a coma) how much I love her and would do anything to get her out of...
Read moreI always get the best care around and I have undergone more than 30 surgical procedures in my life time, plus I have underwent extensive physical therapy and I can say there is no better. The parking service there is rude though. In addition I had an unfortunate experience in their emergency room where I was actually injured there! They inserted a catheter into my p…. That was much to large for me and they tore my urethra and destroyed a implant there to stabilize my incontinence issues. I had to go for over a year before I was finally “repaired “. That injury was just surgically repaired in an extensive 3+ hour procedure by one of their best urologists. Some of the best doctors with the best nurses and aids anywhere!!! Just watch for them in their emergency room. They seem to let to many students do the work of great doctors. The price of going to a teaching hospital I guess. Thank you Critical Care staff! Thank you Neurosugery, neurology, urology, orthopedic and PT staff. In addition my thanks to those behind the scenes, the staff who came in at late hours to take me for exams like C/T and heart exams and those who helped bring food and drinks and especially those who cleaned me up and cleaned my room I couldn’t have been in a better place. Thank you all.
I will try...
Read moreThe staff, nurses. Dr's, social workers, etc are completely unethical, unprofessional, and untrustworthy! one terrible experience after another during our stay. But when I posted a video welcoming home my husband from a long stay at the hospital- i received a comment (screenshoted below!) Clearly from a nurse on staff of the 10th floor Critical Care Unit! Also have made numerous attempts to HR concerning their policy's on such matters and their terms of HIPPA as this may be a violation of some sort. And certainly her speaking on behalf of the hospital was completely INAPPROPRIATE! there needs to be consequences for her actions! Imagine how she is treating patients and their families during one of their most difficult, stressful, saddest times of their lives- if she can speak this way so publicly to patients families (acknowledging her involvement in my husband's care, cursing at me and shaking in behalf in the hospital!) Imagine what she is saying or how she is acting in their presence privately! I'm outraged and I would like to be in...
