Roanoke has pretty good overall Chick-fil-A experience. The managers and the employees are always delightful. The food is always fresh. They frequently do promotions and fun family activities throughout the week.
The playground area: Unfortunately, no one really watches or monitors the kids in here. The older children will come in and knock the little kids around. My daughter with communication delays (she signs) and wears a cochlear played in there the other day. A bigger boy pushed her down the slide and she had a bad bump on her head and knocked off her cochlear. It was very upsetting. The parents were nowhere near and had no clue what their son had done. I just grabbed my daughter and got out of there.
The other major issue is whenever I order my child's kids meal. My husband, myself, and even my daughter's babysitter have on multiple occasions ordered "grilled chicken nuggets" but are always given "fried chicken nuggets"... They need to work on listening to what is being said an not just what they assume the kid wants. My daughter doesn't eat the fried chicken nuggets well and we do not want her eating the MSG that is in them.
Overall, my family does enjoy spending time together here and we come to this...
Read moreDine-in is actually dine-in patio (Outside). I was getting new tires nearby put on my car ad it was going to be a couple of hours. It was around 10:30am and no place nearby same side of the street was open except this place but drive thru or order in advance. The drive-thru was packed and a sign stating the dining area was closed (COVID) and about 4 people were waiting by the door for to-go pickup. I walked through to get to the other side (insert joke?).
Anyways to the point: I should have asked to give him credit but an employ came after me as I was walking around the bldg. to continue looking for an open place and asked if I wanted to order anything, he would take my order and I was welcomed to eat at the patio. He brought me a menu to look at and was very polite and professional. I have seen help wanted signs and places close certain days/shifts due to worker shortage but so far not...
Read moreI’m beyond frustrated with this Chick-fil-A location. Every time I place an online order, they manage to leave something out. This time, I ordered a sausage hashbrown bowl and somehow ended up with grilled chicken and NO hash browns. By the time I got to work and realized the mistake, I didn’t have time to go back and get it fixed.
You’d think customer service would make it right, but nope—rude and dismissive. When I called to speak to a manager about a refund, he told me I had to go through the CARES Team. So I did—only to find out that refunds are actually up to the restaurant. So basically, they sent me in circles just to avoid giving me my money back for something I PAID FOR but never received.
It shouldn’t be this difficult to fix a mistake they made. At this point, I’d rather take my business somewhere that values customers and actually gets orders right. Highly...
