Initially I’d given Soma five stars due to staff, attention, quality of clothing, and availability of stylish clothing that actually fit my body type and were the types of things I could wear at my age and still look stylish without looking ridiculous. These things are no longer true. But before all their qualities went downhill, I went through a traumatizing experience. My cell phone was stolen while I was trying on clothes in one of their stores. From the level of the staff that day, store manager and all the way up to corporate, I was pretty much blown off. They were unwilling to view store video footage to identify the thief and unwilling to assist in any way shape or form. Although I had filed a police report, all my pictures, contacts, doctors, medical info and medical history I’d saved in the phone are gone. (I hadn’t had my content backed up.) I still shopped Soma (at the Rockwall location instead) because they were the only store that had clothing that fit my needs and likes. But since they have steadily gone downhill in clothing quality, variety of selection, and friendliness/assistance, I’ve begun an aggressive search to find replacement clothing...

Store is far too cold. Being left in a cold room with one bra to try on for several minutes at a time gets really old, really fast. I was told I was trying the right size, but needed a different style, yet I had spillage in EVERY style. No one with a 31 inch rib cage is ever going to wear a 36 inch band. Ever. If I ask to be measured, it’s very unlikely I know my bra size, so don’t ask, especially repeatedly. “I don’t know” means exactly that. Asking the same question in a different way will not get a different answer. Don’t ask which bra style I want to try, then not bring it to me. This was my second visit to this store in an attempt to find a bra that fits. Both times the store was busy with only one attendant helping in the fitting rooms. Please see point # 2. I left this store without a new bra, but with new insecurities about myself and my breasts.    Read moreI wish I had never stepped foot in this place. Worst customer experience I have ever had! I purchased 2 bras and 3 panties. The panties were buy 3/get 3 free. Two days later I returned one bra and exchanged 3 unopened panties to for a larger size. What should have been a simple return/exchange has turned into a nightmare. The employee could not get the transaction to work so she called corporate and sat on the phone. She told me I could leave and I would receive an email. I did not so I emailed corporate and they sent me this: The form that was completed for can take up to 7 days to be processed which means you won't get an email until it has been processed. When you get that email notifying you of your refund it will take 3-5 business days to be seen on your debit or credit card statement. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.
What is this? It should take minutes to make this right by the customer, not days. I cannot believe this is how this corporation...
