Worst internet provider in the history of internet providers Slow speeds ✅️ Bad customer service ✅️ Inadequate service technicians ✅️ Excuses for slow internet speeds ✅️ Zero internet reliability ✅️ I don't really know how these people are operating here but I think they should consider go else where As someone who works from home and relies on good internet connection I would gladly say for anyone who is thinking of purchasing services from this company DONT purchase their services instead you should purchase Verizon wireless internet services they have reliable internet service with minimal interruptions Cox also lies about internet usage sending me notification that I exceeded my limits which is questionable considering I use Verizon internet for my work etc and I have their services active just for the miscellaneous usage They require a year long contract so the no contract sign and no additional fees is an absolute lie A word of advice from me to cox ,consider going elsewhere because your services are terrible or consider listening to your customers concerns and working on improving your services before its too late A word of advice to current and future/considering customers Please note that you will be stuck with a year long contract of extremely slow internet speeds with extremely bad customer services You may wanna consider Verizon wireless home internet or other providers if optional If you already have cox internet services you may wanna consider a legal approach for falsely advertising product or services or cancel and purchase the service elsewhere Disclaimer I do not represent Verizon or its subsidiaries in any way shape or form I am a paying customer with Verizon any mention of Verizon in this review was primarily My personal opinion of the company and its excellent services I was not influenced by or paid by Verizon to write this review I wrote it out of my...
Read moreI completely share the extremely disappointing experience of several other Cox customers in reviews posted. Cox claims to be customer-service oriented. It is definitely not so in my experience. Most recent experience is TODAY. Still living it, as I write this! An appointment was set up for 10 AM-12 Noon today. Nobody showed up, though I kept on getting repeated emails from Cox to remind me that my appointment was for today, 10-12, and that I should ‘prepare’ to soon receive the Cox Tech. I called Cox at 12 noon to enquire about status. After several let-me-look-into-its and ID verifications, I was told that the tech was on his way. Anytime now. NOT! Called Cox again at 1PM and asked to speak to a Supervisor. Supv. Keith informed me that the appointment had been moved to 1-3 PM and I SHOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED!, and ETA for Tech was now at 1:49 PM. EXACTLY! (How strange that he should quote such an exact time when they cannot keep such a wide window!!) No one showed up. So, called Cox again at 2:15 PM. Spoke to another Supervisor, Jason – in Virginia. Same words of moving time windows, and I was now asked to wait until 3 PM. Finally, Cox Tech calls at 2:45 PM and told me that his info showed that a Tech had come earlier, but no one was home! This was a complete fabrication, a lie! I have been home, in the front room of the house, since 9:30 AM today, with a clear view of front entrance, and checking constantly for a Cox van! No Cox Tech had come by! Now the new ETA is by 5 PM!! I am hoping. After wasting my whole day! Fingers crossed!! Cox has a monopoly in our residential area. Cox not only knows this, but also regularly abuses this privilege. If I had a choice, I would switch...
Read moreCox sucks!!! Same as their name! I spoke to 10 different people just to resolve our issue and not one helped when it’s a simple moving and continuing of service. They should have just a smooth transition for people who are current customers and are moving out of state. Instead, they close your account and open one with new name/account number (no email or explanation that this is how their system is done), this confuses IT techs if you need help because apparently, they don’t corroborate the information of the customers with sales. We were down with no internet for a week and I was patient to discuss the issue even thru chat rooms but instead I was transferred from one person to another and they would end up dropping my calls and ending my chat conversation and no call back, then I have to call back and repeat what happened (I did this 10x). It’s ridiculous I was patient enough and still no resolve. I used to like them back in Nevada but their customer service is so 0% in California...if you want a headache and cling to frustration then use their service, but if you don’t, get out!!!...
