Oof, not a great service experience and a barely above-average product. The person working the front seems like they've never even spoken to someone in sales, much less worked a sales job. Several of us thought they were offering samples by asking if we'd like to "try" a product when they meant "purchase." They were visibly annoyed, and this was not a young employee at all.
There were display cookies, but they're unlabeled. A guy ahead of me clearly wanted a smaller size, but they're only available if you purchase a party pack it seems (12 cookies for like $40-something).
The cookie itself isn't terrible. A 4-star rated cookie at best with 3-star frosting, but for $5, discounted as you buy more 4 or more cookies. There is a discount "punch-card" system, but you don't get rewarded until you spend $100.
You're better off going down the street to Big Island Eats if you just want a solid chocolate chip cookie w/o frosting, or go further down to Bristol Farm for "The Cookie" (salted chocolate chip with walnuts or their new peanut butter one) for a 5-star cookie. Neither needs frosting to be better than this place, and both are cheaper. Both places also offer catering, so unless you're specifically trying to appeal to children's tastes, it's really hard to justify walking in here when there are solid alternatives within a...
Read moreUpdated - still never going back and would like to add that this location probably has a quality control issue. I bought directly from the kiosk without looking because I've ordered minis several times before and they were fine in size. That day, the minis were essentially bite sized but the employee also felt the need to tell me it was my fault because the cookies were on display and I should have looked. Don't need that stress in my life.
Never going back. I ordered a 3-pack of minis from the kiosk and when I realized it was the same price as 2 large cookies, I asked for an exchange or refund. I had not touched any cookies or box at this point. The employee first tried to insist that I paid less for the mini pack than I did and then said she couldn't do a refund because the manager wasn't there. The manager was called and I was told if I wanted a refund, I would have to come back the next day in person. I have worked in the food service before and what really got me was how exasperated and rude the employee was when I was polite the whole time. I'm not sure if it's a generational thing where people just don't learn empathy anymore but she was unnecessarily...
Read moreI was really looking forward to trying out this Cookie shop, but my experience was quite alarming. First, I stood at the counter for at least 10 minutes without being helped, even though there were employees present. They left me standing there and went on with their duties without saying a word. Then, two men walked in, and they were asked if they needed help immediately, while I continued to be ignored until a different employee noticed me.
The most concerning part was 2 of the employees who had nose rings dangling down their face. It looked like it could easily fall into the dough while preparing the cookies, which is a serious health hazard. I honestly thought OSHA should take a look at the store's practices because allowing facial jewelry like that without any precautions seems unsafe in a food environment.
Overall, the customer service was poor, and the food safety standards left me worried. This place could use some serious improvements. I think OSHA needs to be contacted and I think they need to have an internal audit or an audit all together in regards to safety and...
