When the Ray-Ban metal frames to my expensive prescription glasses broke, I quickly realized that very few places do actual eyeglass repair and that I might have to send them to a company in California (and would have to go for weeks without my glasses). Thankfully I found Buchkosky Jewelers nearby where I live, which examined my glasses and quoted me $79 to $99 to laser weld them back together. I went to the store about 20 minutes before closing time, after which the goldsmith had already left but repair was completed by 10am the next day, and I came to pick them up in late afternoon. They did an excellent job, and appreciate that they were honest upfront that I should consider this a temporary fix and disclosed that the weld will be more brittle than the original metal. While you can see the repair upon very close examination (as they said would be the case), it’s quite unnoticeable otherwise - the photo shows an area of silver metal next to the hinge, and they also straightened out the rest of the metal on my glasses, which I greatly appreciate. Buchkosky Jewelers is a highly professional business that I greatly recommend, and their excellent customer service and upfront honesty is in stark contrast to the many less scrupulous...

If I could give zero stars, hosting anonymously to help a friend he goes in there with a 18 karat gold 18 inch choker chain from his grandfather who just passed and a gentleman tell him who is related to the owner that he will help him find a necklace that is more suitable with similar values last as long and a silver leaf he says a first class cut diamond which to my friend who has no knowledge about jewelry that was a really good deal cause you’re going to a jewelry profession Is his. You tell him you’re looking for something because the meaning behind the necklace and he comforts you telling you he will most definitely help you. Anyways, 3 to 4 months after buying the necklace the necklace breaks the diamond fall out. They say it looks shattered on the inside. Diamond equal value of the necklace he got or if he could get the necklace, he traded in back because the monetary value to the guy promised him something that was the same lifetime and this one obviously did the necklace but at this point, he doesn’t want it because it’s shown that it’s gonna be faulty and break and he doesn’t believe it’s real diamond And then when I went back. Below average customer service. I want to start out by saying this review is not based on the products or selection, it is solely based on my interactions with the staff.

I called inquiring about getting my fiancé’s ring engraved (I did not purchase it here) and she said yes they could do it. I asked about turn times and pricing and the lady informed me it was about a week turn around & the standard engraving charge was $39. She did not ask me any other questions, like what the ring was made of. I drove 30 minutes for the lady to tell me they couldn’t do it since it was made of tungsten. I am not an expert so I have no clue what is or isn’t doable engraving wise. She went into a long reasoning on why they couldn’t do it there. Then she said that they COULD send it out to have it laser engraved, but that would “be like $100”. She said it with a tone that implied I couldn’t afford that. Honestly I would have paid the $100 to get it done, but the interaction was so rude and off-putting.

I would recommend asking prospect customers the necessary questions to ensure you can take care of the service they are wanting BEFORE they drive out there. You are the expects and should treat all your clients with respect...
