My dad first went there on a weekday night. He commented that it looked extra slow for a downtown restaurant but he said he was willing to try it because he had heard some positive reviews from me. I regret telling him those positive reviews because the two experiences he had, and the one I had with him were not pleasant at all. The first time he went there he said that there was too many fried options, that there wasn’t enough of Cajun options. He also said that the waitress he had didn’t seem to be too interested in taking care of him. Said she seemed to always be standing at the bar talking to the bartender and not there to help with refills. He said it was a little pricy and didn’t want to come back a second time. I convinced him to come back a second time with me a month later. I told him maybe you just had a bad waitress. He went and the second time was worse for him and it was just as terrible for me. We went again on a weekday and it was very similar for dinner, not that busy, almost ghost town like. We had the waiter sit us down and I was surprised at the menu. In order to get the Cajun feeling, the etouffee was an additional $7 to the already $20+ dollar tilapia I got. The waiter was also always standing by the bar. I asked a different waiter who she was talking to and they said oh that’s the manger, bartender and the owner. It seems they were more interested in watching espn than checking on the customer. The waiter said that happened all the time. I thought that was odd, maybe the owner, manager and even the general manager don’t care about customer service much. The food was okay, but paying extra for Cajun flavor is crazy, otherwise it’s just grilled or fried fish, and the Cajun was okay, but you can tell this is not true Cajun and that the owner and the chef don’t know what true Cajun and Louisiana food is. The food is overpriced, almost $90 for the two of us, with not the best taste, and the staff and owner don’t seem to notice you or care for you. If you want decent grilled fish just got to Fish Daddies, they are a third of the cost and have better taste and service. If you want true Cajun go to Mouton’s!! They are cheaper and true Cajun food...

We had stuffed peppers for an appetizer. They were very good. My wife had crawfish and coldslaw. She said they were very good. I had blackened catfish and shrimp with coleslaw and Mac and cheese on the side. The Mac and cheese and coldslaw were very good. The blackened fish and shrimp were over blackened if you asked me. They had a good flavor and a good texture, but way way too much seasoning. In my opinion. I had to scrape it off with my knife. It took away from the flavor of the food. Tonight was not one of the better experiences at this restaurant. It did not have the same atmosphere as the 1st few times we had been there.
😃8/15/2022 We had dinner tonight. My wife had blackened Snaper, and I had a Muffaletta sandwich with fries. Both were very good. Sever Valerie was pleasant and professional. The restaurant was very clean Good overall experience.
👍👍Update Dec. 10th Our server Jordon was courteous. As folks left, the staff cleaned up the tables before the next customer came in. We had fried mushrooms for an appetizer. They were firm in the center with a nice fried coating. Very good. Not mushy. My wife had a blackened snapper. She said it was very good. I had fried shrimp. They were very good. Good atmosphere. You can have a good conversation without music blasting in the background. Overall, we enjoyed our meal very much.
🤠 Our server was very professional. My wife had the seafood platter, and I had the combination platter. The food was great. Tasted like home cooked. The breading on the seafood was very good. I recommend this...

It’s just not good food…for the most part.
Catfish and egg rolls were good as were the red beans and rice. Actually the egg rolls were the only blessing of the night. We ended up getting bar food at the brass tap afterwards.
Jambalaya was disgusting, I ordered the plate and over half of my dish was the jambalaya. I’ve made it myself before and I lived in Louisiana. Just gross. My husband who normally will eat just about anything wouldn’t even eat it.
Gumbo, very soupy, I’ve made gumbo and I’ve had gumbo in Louisiana. Flavor was good, but also not a ton of meat. A small portion along with the red beans and rice on my plate. Basically I paid over $20 for rice, a tiny cup of soup (not gumbo) and a tiny cup of beans and rice.
Crawfish was alright.
Okra had no seasoning.
We spent over $90 there and it was not worth it at all, worst date night food experience in a while.
We tipped our waitress well.
…And don’t bother with the alcoholic drinks, overly sweet and unbalanced. If You want a great drink with a bartender who will cater to your desire go to the brass tap.
We ordered:
two dinner plates 1 alcoholic beverage 1 sweet tea 1 appetizer $90+ for sub par and inedible food.
The waitress asked us how the food was, with over half of our food uneaten I said it wasn’t that great.
Customer service was good, but we won’t come back because the food was subpar and overly priced for...
