I had high hopes when I moved into Capitol Towers â Luxury MidRise. During my initial tour, Rey was friendly and confident in what the property offered, which heavily influenced my decision to sign a lease. Unfortunately, many of the things he promisedâespecially around safety and building accessâturned out to be false. It felt very misleading, and I wouldnât have signed the lease had I known the full reality. Rey is no longer with the team, but that experience set the tone for my time there. Safety was a serious issue. For over a month, the garage doors at 1501 were broken and left open 24/7, allowing non-residents to enter the building freely. I frequently saw unauthorized individuals inside the stairwells near my unit. I submitted multiple reports and video evidence to management, but the response was slow and ineffective. Calls to security went unanswered, and I was told to âkeep calling,â even after explaining that wasnât working. I also paid for reserved parking, but often found other tenants parked in my spot. This caused ongoing frustration and showed a lack of enforcement around parking policies. There was also a strong chemical odor in my apartment that maintenance dismissed as ânot an emergency.â I had to call the fire department, who confirmed the smell. It was eventually traced to a motorcycle leaking gasoline in the garage directly beneath my apartmentâclearly a lease violation. Despite this, the spill wasnât properly cleaned, and other violations (like an abandoned radiator) remained unaddressed for months. The amenities were also disappointing. The pool was often not well-maintained, and the spa was frequently out of serviceâfrustrating for a building marketed as luxury living. That said, I want to recognize two staff members who stood out in a positive way. Niesha, who joined near the end of my lease, was empathetic, professional, and truly listened. She was one of the few people who made me feel heard and took my concerns seriously. Caleb, although not part of the Luxury MidRise team (he works on the Capitol Towers side), still made the effort to step in and support me when issues arose. Even though I wasnât in his building, he was approachable, sincere, and clearly cared about the resident experience. His willingness to helpâdespite not being directly responsibleâreally stood out. Overall, the property has potential, and the location is great. But misleading leasing practices, unresolved safety concerns, lack of maintenance, poor enforcement of parking, and weak communication from upper management made my experience frustrating. With stronger leadership and accountability, this could be a much better...

Sadly, upon move in, my unit was not properly cleaned, there are some visible and tacky damages that should have been re-painted but they just left it, I had to clean. There is a constant, 24/7 high pitched ringing sound outside that can be heard from any open window, my unit faces north. Interestingly, the same constant high pitched whining noise is in the 1501 building parking garage (the 1421 building garage is quiet). The valet trash has already failed to collect trash 3 times, you have no other option, the hallways are carpeted which get dirty fast. I cannot enjoy my balcony or have any windows open due to the constant ringing noise and there is also a mechanical humming sound coming from beneath the washer/dryer and from beneath the bathroom floor that is always there. There is no way to buzz people up the elevators from your apartment, so you must go down and fob them up to your floor, and limited disabilty features. The parking garage is not secure because the gates do not work properly, and I have been informed that those living on lower floors can hear noise from above which means the builders skimped on sound proofing. Yes, I...
Read moreI honestly cannot say enough good things about my move-in experience -- and it's all thanks to Erv! From the moment I arrived, he went above and beyond every step of the way to make sure I could move into my apartment the very same day.
Even though the process took about four and a half hours, Erv never once lost his patience or positivity. He handled everything with professionalism, warmth, and an amazing attitude that made what could have been a super stressful day feel easy and welcoming.
He personally made sure every detail was right -- from helping with the application to showing me multiple units to ensure I had exactly what I wanted. He was good at explaining everything clearly, and accommodating to every need I had. You can tell he genuinely cares about the people he's helping, not just the job itself.
I've dealt with plenty of leasing offices and property staff before, but Erv is in a league of his own. He deserves all the recognition for how dedicated, kind, and proactive he is. People like him are the reason communities feel like home from day one.
If I could give 10 stars, I would. Thank you, Erv, for turning what could have been a stressful move-in into a wonderful experience. You are truly the heart...
