Buyer beware! I called cycle bar January 1st to buy a package of rides, when I spoke to the person who answered the phone they convinced me to get a membership because it was only $1 since I called on the first of January. CycleBar midtown was having a promotion for the new year. I was unsure of committing to a membership but woman on the phone reassured me that I could cancel anytime before February 1st with no issues, if I didnât want the membership. I only went to cycle bar ONE TIME the whole month of January and decided it wasnât for me. I emailed cycle bar to cancel the membership, because of course when I called I couldnât do it over the phone. Mind you this was before February 1st. They took forever to get back to me and I was charged $153 for February. Once I spoke to the manager I asked for a refund because I reached out before the 1st of February and was told I could cancel at anytime. The manager refused to refund my money and said â Due to our 30 day notice policy you still have one final payment due before your cancellation is in effect.â That means I would of have had to put in a 30 day notice on the 1st of January when I initially signed up! How would I know if I liked it or not ? I had never been there before. The class made me uncomfortable and I didnât like that our names were put on the screen for people to see that youâre the slowest in the room. Smh
This whole thing was so deceptive. I donât even know what membership Iâm paying for .. who decided I wanted the membership for $153 dollars? I certainly didnât get to choose what membership I got. I just just enrolled for $1. They literally stole from me and lied to me to get me to sign up and never disclosed the cancellation policy after I specifically asked. If I didnât ask that would make more sense but I definitely did ask ! They are always having âsalesâ that is how they get you! So beware of this! I canât believe I have to pay $153 and I only went there ONE TIME. Horrible...
Read moreI have been a member since approximately last August but had to cancel due to my work schedule and the times of the classes. It just didnât work out for me. At first, I was frustrated with the cancellation process. There was some miscommunication which would have resulted in me losing all my prepaid credits from my final month. For some reason the app was not allowing me to enroll in a class. I explained to Haley (the manager) and she was kind enough to reimburse my credits without an expiration date, even adding another class pass for my inconvenience. All of the instructors are wonderful and encouraging. You leave class feeling great each time! I would have stayed but will be relocating in the next few months and have to cut costs in my budget in order to go back to school. BUT overall I recommend CycleBar and have enjoyed my time here. Give it a try if youâre in midtown, they have some fun themed classes and itâs a good way to...
Read moreI loved this place in the summer when it was safe to be open and when they opened outside. Super fun workouts and amazingly kind, friendly instructors.
However I was disappointed in their decision to not follow mask mandates on bikes, - I work at a fitness studio (one not related to or competing with spin) I know theyâre required even during a class. For this reason I put my account on hold as Iâm around high risk people. - I do not know if this has since changed.
And I have since been disappointed that they stayed open against closure orders, as someone whoâs life has been greatly affected by the pandemic it is disappointing when businesses you love arenât doing the right thing to help us return to normal. :(
Pandemic handling aside this would have been a 5star review.
They are doing temp checks at the door They have an air sanitising system And the early pandemic handling was good I just wish they were following all the...
