Red Pineapple — Local services in Saint Augustine

We are from out of town and bought a pair of earrings on June 2, 2023, for a wedding. The earrings were broken and cracked and there was no way to tell they were broken until you opened the packaging. There was a large crack on the post that goes into your ear. We went back into the Red Pineapple today, June 5, 2023 and we were rudely dismissed by an employee with red hair around 2:30pm. Although we did not have our receipt, we had a digital copy of the transaction on my phone. The insensitive employee then quickly told us there was nothing she could do and that the transaction “simply does not exist.” We were trying to as what our options were and she quickly replied with “we have a line.” We were simply wanting to see what we could do about our broken earrings and we were met with a very rude, unprofessional, and insensitive employee. I recently visited the beautiful city of St. Augustine, and walked down St. George Street, which is a ‘walking only’ street. I wanted to buy an outfit that I could brag about purchasing it from this beautiful place. I went to many clothing shops in this area and wasn’t happy about the inventory, never mind the lack of customer service. I stumbled upon the ‘Red Pineapple’, and what a breath of fresh air!! The clothing was one-of-a-kind!!! Besides the clothing, their accessories and home decor was amazing!! I literally wanted to try everything on!! NaCarol was the manager on duty at the time, and she was extremely helpful!! She was so patient and had so many ideas of outfits for me that I would have not chosen myself, yet, we’re amazing!! Thank you Red Pineapple for an amazing experience!! I recommend this shop...

Joanna, I believe she may be the manager, she rather helped someone else out other than me and it kind of looked like she would rather help other certain employees out than others that may be struggling that may be new to their job. I was a little disappointed because I come here for every summer with my family and she always seemed like she was in a rush to do something else, that was more important than helping her usuals. Overall, I feel this place didn’t seem worth the money or the time because I didn’t feel like I was welcomed here, let alone the employees that work for this woman. Also the owner who i believe is Joanna, would be smoking her cigarettes outside for a long period of time instead of helping her employees or customers!!! Very disappointed. Probably will not be...
