We purchased robes for the white glove sale and I bought one for my 9-year-old son. It was advertised to be a child size 8 to 10. My son is a 9-year-old boy and is the smallest in his class. I purchased him a blue and white checkered van robe it was very trendy and cute however the sizing was way off and it was much too small. It barely came to his knees and when he put his arms out in front of him there were four to six inches above the wrist. These run very small compared to their regular robes which I confirmed by having my 17-year-old skinny daughter try them both on at the store. She tried on the extra small adult in the van and in the regular plush and they did not fit the same at all. I only had to pay $50 for his size 8-10 hooded vans robe however ended up paying $100 for the next size up in adult extra small. Ouch! These adult sized vans robes should be advertised as juvenile or tween since they fit very differently than their regular adult robes. I still went ahead and purchased it because it was very cute and I'm excited for him to wear it which I will make sure he wears a day lot for that price. As a side note, several of the adult robes that we purchased had the ties mismatched so that they were longer on one side than the other and the ties were a little too short to hold properly so I'm going to have to tie it in a double knot to get it to stay ugh. Very pretty soft. We love their blankets. Hope we have a good experience...
Read moreThe blanket itself is cozy. The workers/service is a hit or miss. By the looks of what people say, I’m not the only one, nice. Employees can ruin the brand for the public. I’ve had good & bad experiences. Purchased 7 minky blankets. Went 3 times to look & didn’t get anything. In the past 6yrs… so I can speak for 10 separate experience's. Blankets held up. They loose their mega minky feel after 2 yrs. It’s still functional, warms up well, but that minky feel with be gone, even with the most careful care. Then you buy a new one & notice a huge difference. I’m careful with mines since they’re expensive, yes following wash instructions. That’s my wear & tear testimony. The store is cool. To avoid weird employees that want to act stuck up, in a blanket store- just shop online. The automated robot will assist kinder online. Tonight I can say, my puppy likes snuggling up in our minky. My golden doodle is more minky than a new minky. She’s so soft! Way better than all the minkys I have. If a little animal likes the blanket, i recommend getting yourself one. I have recommended this brand, ever since my first purchase 6 yrs ago. Oh yeah… after you buy one, your gonna end up getting another. Then you can’t seem to sleep with out it. So, keep that in mind. You’ll be hooked in after you get...
Read moreOne of my children asked me for a Minky Couture blanket for Christmas. That was before they realized that they were around $300 for one. I looked online to see what they really cost and on the first screen I got an offer for 40% off my first order if I would give them my email address. I hesitated but I thought, well, 40% off $300 might make it more possible to get them one for Christmas. Then, after I gave them my email address it asked me for a phone number for text marketing. There was a little note on that screen saying, "If you'll give us both your email address and your phone number then we'll give you the 40% off coupon". This made me mad. But I thought, well, it still might be worth it. Then after getting the coupon, it said that it was only valid on regularly priced items. And what to my dismay? Everything was on sale! Not on a 40% off sale, but more like 10%ish. I suckered for a lie. To me, that is dishonest and a poor marketing tactic. We were given a blanket of theirs as a gift a few years ago and it's nice. Heavy and bulky, but nice. But I doubt I will never buy one from them. I don't like...
