My friends and I were absolutely smitten with this store. If my carryon wasn't bursting at the seams like a rebellious watermelon, I would've probably bought the entire store and tried to stuff it in there! Alas, I settled for some delightfully realistic temporary tattoos.
But here's where the story gets even better: Dan, the hero of the hour, didn't just provide us with tattoos; he orchestrated a prank of epic proportions! My friend and I hatched a scheme to trick our group into believing we'd gotten "real" matching tattoos. Dan, without missing a beat, leaped into action, arming us with scissors, a moist towel, and even plastic wrap to seal the deal. It was like a covert operation in a quirky decor paradise.
The whole escapade was such a surreal and memorable experience that it's etched in my brain like a tattoo itself. So, major kudos to you, Dan! If you ever find yourself wandering the mystical streets of Salem and share our love for plantastic and quirky decor, don't even think twice – visit this store and give Dan a high-five for us!

Read moreMy family and I just moved to Salem and I stumbled across this shop taking my boys out for a walk. I’ve never taken the time to rate anything before, but let me just say it’s impossible not to with this stop. From the staff to the selection, this store is just amazing!
I decided to pick up a small plant for my bedroom and an amazing staff member helped me decide on a jade plant and the most beautiful and unique planter. I was struggling a bit with my twin boys and I often get a little overwhelmed when I’m out with them alone and they start crying, but the entire staff made me feel feel so comfortable and helped expedite my checkout which I really appreciated.
If you are looking to treat yourself to something or buy a gift for someone, this place is not to be missed! Their selection is so beautiful and they have the most unique items that are sure to please anyone! This is definitely going to be a...

After waiting in line and being let in, the woman left watch at the door and allowed for anyone in the public to come in as if we were the only ones who were required to wait. As we entered and walked around, it smelled like a nursing home… maybe that’s their way of getting the “moss” idea across to their customer base. Lastly, I was using a small instrument left out as a demo so that customers could use the product and see what it was. I continued to use it and get a feel for it as we walked around. Why? Because I was thinking about purchasing it. One of the workers came up to me abruptly and asked if she could take it from my hands as I was using it, simply to put it back on the shelf so that other customers could see it. Poor service on the floor at Oat + Moss. They lost a sale, and our...
