My husband, son and I went to the Salem location 9/13, and it was the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had. When the server first came over, I ordered hot chocolate and asked for whipped cream. She said they did not have any. We ordered drinks and it took a very long time for them to come out. They moved us inside, since it looked like rain, and we had to sit at the bar - very cramped. But I watched the bartender making deserts with - whipped cream. So she apparently lied. I ordered chowder to come out first. It came with the food and was ice cold. It also sat in the window a long time. I ordered cole slaw and she brought me beans. When I asked about it she rudely told me I ordered beans, proceeded to argue with me, and brought out the device she placed the order with. She apparently realized she was wrong and went to get the cole slaw, threw it down and left. I never had a chance to tell her about the chowder and she never came back. Never checked on us or offered refills. When I finally flagged her down and told her she took it away, no apology or anything. I had also told her I did not want bacon (the menu had the option to add it - it did not say it came with it) and she, again very rudely, told me it came with bacon. So the manager brings out another cup and it is just as cold. I never ate it. She only came back when it was time to give us the bill. Never offered refills, never offered dessert and she tried to charge me for the chowder. She was absolutely horrible, and rude, and completely ruined the experience. It was actually an anniversary celebration. We just left and got dessert elsewhere. And we will never go back. I managed restaurants for years and never would allow a member of my staff treat customers like that. I tried to talk to the manager, on the way out, and he apologized, but this server was also up there laughing with him on multiple occasions, so I doubt he cared. The food was not bad but the service was atrocious. I will definitely leave bad...
Read moreBefore I begin this review, I would like to make a confession: I have a history of burger infidelity. But before you judge me, let me assure you, it's only because I hadn't met "The One." That is, until I stumbled upon the Boston Burger Company.
The moment I walked in, the atmosphere screamed "burgerlicious!" This joint's got all the right buns in all the right places. But don't let the fun, laid-back vibe fool you. Boston Burger Company is serious about their burgers, and they're not playing pattycake.
I ordered the "Mac Attack" burger, and let me tell you, it was like having a party in my mouth – and everyone was invited! A juicy, perfectly cooked beef patty was enveloped in a cheesy mac 'n' cheese blanket that could only be described as the love child of comfort food and haute cuisine. Did I mention the bacon? Yeah, they had bacon bits sprinkled on top like fairy dust. This burger was so good that I'm pretty sure it could solve world peace if given the chance.
Now, let's not forget about their milkshakes. If you've ever wondered what it's like to drink a cloud, look no further. Their milkshakes are so thick, rich, and creamy that they make the Kardashians jealous. I tried the "Freak Frappe" and it was like the Willy Wonka of milkshakes – a whimsical wonderland of flavors, colors, and toppings. My tastebuds were dancing the Cha-Cha while I sipped on this heavenly concoction.
In conclusion, the Boston Burger Company is the Leonardo DiCaprio of burger joints – constantly delivering award-worthy performances that leave you wanting more. If you're in search of the ultimate burger and milkshake experience, run (don't walk) to Boston Burger Company. Just remember to bring your dancing shoes, because your tastebuds are going to boogie...
Read moreSecond time going here. First time was good so figured we’d go again since we were in the area. Wish I went somewhere else. Party of 3 and only 1 other table sat at the time we got there so very quiet night with multiple people on staff. Walked in at 7:10 pm roughly, and didn’t get our meals until past 8pm. Ordered 2 sodas and a beer with mozzarella sticks and a shake to start. Can’t really mess up drinks but the mozzarella sticks were cold (ZERO stretch) and McDonald’s makes a better chocolate shake. Ordered the Mac attack burger, bbq pulled pork Mac and cheese, and my wife tried ordering a chicken sandwich and was told “we don’t have sandwiches right now” by the waitress so she ordered the chicken Caesar fries. How can a burger place not have sandwiches??? Burger was overcooked, “house made” chips were soggy and chewy. Bbq pulled pork Mac and cheese was ice cold and looked like a bowl of mushed up macaroni. Don’t think there was 1 complete piece of macaroni in the entire bowl. Chicken caesar “fries” had little to no dressing and was half edible lettuce with all of the lettuce hearts making up the other half. Very disappointed and will never be even considering going back. Wouldn’t have a problem for a 40 or even 50 dollar check but was blown away at $111 tab. Multiple people on staff with no more than 5 other customers there at a single time including us and only saw our waitress 3 or 4 times at most to take our drink order and bring them out to take our food order and then when we had to ask for her when a different person brought out the food and had to go back in for the last plate because he didn’t have help. Clearly something has changed since the first time we went and it’s certainly not...
