Grand America Hotel Underground Parking South Entrance — Local services in Salt Lake City

The hotel is incredible and the prices go with the territory here, but I have one pet peeve when I come downtown. It’s with valet parking. I came down to have lunch with an airline buddy of mine, and the valet guys would not let me park in the overhang for 10 lousy minutes. I don’t know why this is such a contention with hotels or they don’t pay these guys enough money, but if I’m not a hotel guest, and I wanna pick up a friend of mine and meet them in the damn lobby, they should be a little more flexible. This a gem, not only in Utah, but anywhere. The building is ornate in such a refined and calm way. It is sophisticatedly relaxed and beautiful in every hallway and every corner.
