I've been coming here almost everyday for a year. The first time I ever went I didn't know what to expect. They didn't know me, but they were so kind. I didn't even have a regular coffee order. They walked me through everything, explained so much, and over the next 12 months I got to learn what all their different roasts taste like, what I liked to drink, and what I didn't like. I'm a plain person when it comes to my order. I just want an 8 ounce latte, no flavors, and with whole milk. Since coming here I've tried many other coffee shops, and none of them have the quality, and excellence of Millcreek Coffee Roasters. Their espresso blend is to die for, and in my opinion they have the best espresso roast. It's my #1 roast for at home coffee too, you can buy their beans by the pound, and it's reasonably priced. I'll continue coming back. For lattes, beans, food, and the baristas. You won't find better baristas in the valley I'm telling you. If you need coffee, and an environment that will put a smile on your face every time you come in, this is THE PLACE. They have 2 other locations, but nothing beats the charm of the Main Street location. If you're thinking about going here for drinks and food, just do it. Stop thinking, and just go in. You'll know exactly what I'm talking about the very second you open that door.
This place is magical, all in a unique Millcreek Coffee...
Read moreLet this be your warning. If you care even a little about coffee, do not go here. The ratings this place has just baffle me. The coffee is absolutely abysmal. Coffee roasting is a delicate art that requires close attention as there is a fine line between perfectly roasted and burnt. This tasted like they turned the roaster on high, and then decided to take an extended lunch break and called it good. It’s so burnt and bitter that it might be on par with the 12hr old truck stop coffee I picked up at 3am off I-70 in the middle of Kansas. Yeah, that sums up what we’re working with here. The food was sad too. I ordered a lox bagel and someone must not have ever tasted a caper before. I love them, but they are salty and intense. You don’t need to use a whole handful of them on one bagel. The PB and banana toast was like store bought sliced wheat bread, some skippy (or similar) and sliced banana. In total, 2 sad coffees and 2 sad breakfast items came to about $30 after tip.
Oh and then as we’re sitting there with a table covered in trash (it’s all served as takeaway even if you ask for it to stay), I notice burning coffee smoke pouring into the cafe through the ventilation system. Looking at it from the outside you can see that the chimney for the roasters is right next to the ventilation intake...
Read moreCute atmosphere, but I will not be returning. I ordered two drinks, a breakfast sandwich and a bagel and cream cheese. The hot cocoa was good, the apple cider had a LOT of cinnamon (the last few sips were like the cinnamon challenge), and the sandwich was tasty with a lot of turkey. I was really disappointed in the bagel and cream cheese. I opened my bagel to find that only half the bagel was covered with a small amount of cream cheese. When I asked about getting more, I was told I would be charged another $0.90….for 1 Oz of plain cream cheese?? So I went home and added my own cream cheese, only to find out I was also charged $0.10 for cucumbers. I feel like I was nickel and dimed for breakfast and I get that inflation is getting high, but for almost $4.00 I should get enough cream cheese to fill both halves of a bagel. From what I gathered, I think this is the problem of a cheap and selfish business model. The workers were very understanding, but have to follow certain rules.
TLDR: $0.90 extra charge for half a bagels worth of cream cheese is scammy...
