We arrived around 9pm on a Monday Night and were excited to have a late dinner after a show. We waited at the entrance for several minutes while the host was on the phone and very patiently walking someone through the online ordering system. It was obvious the person on the phone should’ve probably just come downstairs and ordered themselves. The host didn’t acknowledge us at all, though, which was irritating. A few minutes later, a manager arrived and seated us. The restaurant was clean and beautifully lit by all the Christmas lights outside. Our server was in and out and sometimes took way too long to check on us. I ordered a hot chocolate that came out piled high with whip cream. It was hot, creamy, and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the chicken fried steak. He remarked on the underwhelming nature of the side salad, specifically the huge chunk of tomato and single cucumber. His CFS was as expected but the real star was the gravy and mashed potatoes. I ordered a Club Sandwich, something I’ve had several times at the Coffee Shop without issue. What I received was not a Club Sandwich but a really large turkey sandwich. It was late and I didn’t want to make a big deal about it but Little America - please school your chefs on the difference between a Club Sandwich and a turkey sandwich - especially if it’s called The Little America Club Sandwich. The CFS dinner came with ice cream and we got the mint chocolate chip. It was the star of the show! All in all, the Coffee Shop is a nicer diner experience but make sure to be explicit in your ordering so you get what you are expecting.

My family and I wanted to meet yesterday at this restaurant for Christmas we live in Tooele county and my kids live in Millcreek area so we met for Christmas and to have a nice lunch for the holiday I have been a vegetarian for 43 years now and I have never had a problem eating at any restraunt or fast food for any meal breakfast, lunch or dinner because there is always plenty of things for me to eat I do a lot of ordering from the side dish menus. When our server brought us the menu it was a holiday menu with only 2 choices, turkey dinner or prime rib dinner we had arrived there right when thier breakfast time was just getting over with so if we had been seated 5 minutes earlier I would have been able to order from the breakfast menu but they made us wait 45 minutes to be seated even though half of the tables were empty so I explained that I am a vegetarian and can not eat meat because I have a deases that prevents me from digesting meat I was told no I can only order the holiday choices and our server didn't even say let me check with my manager to see what we can do for you. I ended up tracking who I thought was the manager down and I asked him if he could help me order something and I was told "well if you order the Prime Rib dinner it comes with lentil soup" so I said I am not going to pay $55 dollars for a bowl of soup he told me that's all they can do! 🙄 so for the next hour my husband, son and daughter sat there and had to eat in front of me while I drank my water and it was so awkward for all of us that they did not get to enjoy thier very expensive Christmas meal as a family. I then went the rest of the day doing all of our Christmas visiting with family and friends and finally at 9:00 last night I was able to eat for the first and only time all day I was starving by then. It is also important for me to point out that for a very personal reason this was the last Christmas meal I will ever be able to spend with my husband and kids so we spent nearly $200 dollars for 3 of the 4 of us to eat and the food looked great but I didn't get to eat so I don't know how it tasted but it doesn't matter anyway because we all were just uncomfortable with the situation and I was hungry but mostly very embarrassed and couldn't wait to leave I would never go back there again even if thier food is amazing. Finally after an hour of embarrassment and awkwardnees our server asked them what would you like for dessert it comes with your meal and then he asked me if I would like a refill...

Absolutely horrible experience. For years we have eaten here and loved it this year we reserved the private dining room for 12 people on Dec 16 @ 4pm with fam & friends, which we have done before at no charge, this year $50 charge. Once seated, orders taken, prices seemed steep and when food came out it was just tossed to us, most were wrong with incorrect sides, and waitress new it when she set it down saying sorry the entire time, instead of taking it back, they threw the correct sides at us. Vegetables were undercooked, fish and steaks were absolute awful, not cooked to order and cold. Fish like rubber, steak charred or mooing. When mentioned, waitress said “sir, you already ate some of this”, of course, he had few of us try it to get our opinion. They only offered $10 off to him for a $50 steak meal. We all passed in ice cream, included in our meals because we all lost our appetite. They hurried us through like cattle so they could get us out of the room in time. It was very impersonal and extremely disappointing experience. On our own bill, they added the $50 room reservation charge and then automatically charged gratuity on our meal AND room charge. Who does that? We have no reason to ever go back after this experience and that is something I never thought I would say after so many trips here for years, including a few thanksgivings. Our group spent near $700 with gratuity this evening for dinner over 1.5 hours and will not be back. The...
