Luciano Express Pizzeria — Restaurant in San Antonio

My pregnant girlfriend and I went to Luciano because she was craving Italian food and we were staying on the Riverwalk. It was a Saturday night and the restaurant line went out the door. We decided to go sit at the bar to avoid the line and then the story begins. The bar had dirty dishes scattered all over the place. The liquor bottles were off the shelves and loosely placed on the counter tops randomly. The receipt printer by the computer had piles and piles of old receipts piled up. Granted it was Saturday, but these problems had been there for a while. The bartender, a young man in his late twenties was extremely loud and obnoxious. He yelled at the servers who asked for drinks and similarly yelled at customers. A middle-aged couple sitting behind us told him they received something other than what they ordered and he said something along the lines of, "You gotta tell me what you want. I can't read minds. I don't have ESPN like you women do (referring to ESP I suppose)." They didn't want to start a scene with this college bar type bartender. There was a younger female bar helper that checked us out. She was a great relief to talk to considering the other monster that seemed to run the place. The scariest issue was I saw two different people that looked like managers walk into the bar area and spoke with the bartender. They did not seem to notice the filth behind the bar or the uneasy tone the bartender held everyone under. I know that it's not a fair review being that we sat at the bar, but the standard of Luciano was obviously sub par. I do not like complaining typically and don't enjoy confrontation which is why I didn't say anything to a manager. Also, I have never wrote a restaurant review so that should tell you something.

I had visited this establishment back on Friday, the 17th, and had ordered their Pizza/Salad combo. The pizza I chose was the mushroom & spinach with a garden salad. Once I got back to work (I work downstairs) and opened the box, the smell that came from it was horrid. It smelled like rotten fish. Thinking it was the mushrooms, I removed the topping and took a bite. The taste was worse than the smell. One of my coworkers is in culinary and I had asked her to confirm if it's the food. She stated something had gone bad and contaminated the food. I took the food back to Luciano's. The guy that served me noticed me right away and proceeded to yell "OH MY GOD!" And turned to his co-worker to tell him I was bringing the food back. The manager had approached me after staring me down for 5 minutes. I had explained everything to her. The response I got was terrible. She proceeded to laugh at me and gesture to their food stating there is no fish. I responded with "I can see that. But I'm telling you as a customer, it tastes and smells like fish." She grunted and refunded me. While walking back to the salad station she proceeded to be disrespectful to me by mocking me. Calling me "crazy", saying the pizza does not smell and I am wrong, followed by "She works with pretzels, she probably couldn't get an education. She's stupid". Luciano's pizza at Northstar Mall used to be amazing and staff was friendly. For the first time they gave me the wrong slices of pizza . I was given stuffed crust on all of them. When I paid it seemed a bit over priced but I didn't make a big deal about it. When I got home we realized that there was something different .I checked my receipt and I was charged for all stuffed crust slices. The pizza was gross the crust and cheese was thick. I personally hate stuffed crust. I called them and spoke to Diana she was putting the blame on me and was rude about it. She told me "If you pointed at it that's what you get". She wouldn't let me explain,finally I explained it to her. Her response was "What do you want me to do about it". She told me to return everything with the receipt that night.
