on Sunday, December 28, 2024. My little girl told me, she knew what she wanted for dinner “crawfish”. So.. we headed to this location and the place was dead.. one customer in front of us seemed to be leaving with her carry out order and as we approached to order I was immediately met with a rude young woman (Mind you i’m with my 6 year old) I asked for a pound and a half of crawfish and was told “full pounds only” which is fine. Then ordered 10 red potatoes, 8 corn and a half link ( just enough for me) i was told “ full links only” even tho the menu read “ half link= $2.50” So i ordered the full. As i was paying my daughter asked for beignets. I asked to add them and she sighed and said” really?” under her breath but loud enough for my little one to hear. My daughter and I sat towards the front of the store and took pictures next to the Christmas tree, and I could overhear that young lady and another young lady in the kitchen having a very, very inappropriate conversation. I was then told my food was ready and as I approached “ Both young women “ were on their phones and i was handed a small plastic bag with the seafood and another with the fried bread. I asked if she had napkins and extra butter and I was ignored. I even inflected the words “ guess i’m talking to myself” and she just ignored me. Got home and opened what looked like a half eaten order. ( not saying that’s the case) but 8 crawfish, 5 potatoes and 6 corn… definitely not what i ordered . There were literal heads and claws with no meat and they were already pretty cold. Colder than they should have been for a 5 minute drive back home . I brought this to the GMs attention and he rudely assured me that he himself remembered making my order and there was no way only 8 crawfish were in that bag.
So who the hell do I talk to about the nasty thing they said about my 6 year old and the Jackass of a Gm? Please reach out . I’ll gladly show face and bring all pictures with time stamps and phone...
Read moreThis evening I went to LA Crawfish, I have gone many many times before and besides the steep price compared to other seafood boil places here in San Antonio I do genuinely like the food here, although you can get a way better seafood boil deal at RedHook seafood.
Long story short. I got to the bottom of my bag to see something shiny so I touched it and realized it was a VERY dirty penny hidden in the seafood sauce! I was instantly disgusted! My Wife called the store to let them know what we had found (I'd like to add we weren't expecting money back, we paid $70 for our meal) and that she wanted to speak to the manager well come to find out the manager was just too busy to talk, so she spoke to the young lady who answered and let her know what had just happened. The girl let us know they thoroughly inspected our bags before bagging it up (which obviously wasnt the case) and that if we wanted a refund we must send it all back Penny and all and UNEATEN lol. Unfortunately I didn't discover this until it was all eaten up. This wasn't the issue though, the problem is that this establishment doesn't know how to properly rectify an issue, there wasn't any sympathy or apology or anything of that nature and I feel it could have just been handled a little better. We will no longer spend our hard earned money here. Please don't judge the food off my review, I'm purely speaking of customer service I do...
Read moreToday, 9/18/2021, was my first time ordering from LA Crawfish, and I'll never order from this restaurant again, and I'll never visit the restaurant.
I placed two orders:
1st order: I ordered 2 lbs extra spicy crawfish with garlic butter, and 4 boiled seafood potatoes, spicy with garlic butter. 2nd order: 12ct shrimp extra spicy with garlic butter.
Both orders arrived together, no concerns here.
1st order concerns: The crawfish were not properly cooked and had a rubbery texture and they were not spicy and I selected extra spicy. I’m from Louisiana, so I know when seafood isn’t cooked right. Lol. The potatoes weren't boiled long enough because they were still hard. I didn't receive any garlic butter.
2nd order concerns: The shrimp were jumbo and I really loved them. They were properly cooked; however, they were not spicy, and I selected extra spicy. I did not receive any garlic butter.
The items were poorly packaged also.
This establishment needs to do better. I spent $57.74 on my order and I wish I could get a full refund. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! The only thing I like about this experience was the delivery driver (Dasher), Angela.
Update: I was able to receive partial refunds. Thanks Door Dash. Again, they’ll never order from this horrible place...
