I feel bad writing this reviewâŚbut it has to be done. I love spas and itâs a luxury for me and my husband to spend $600 for a âretreatâin a day spa. The massage therapists were VERY nice ladies, and tried hard to be attentive and caring. The massage could have been great in a better environment. I think the massage therapists are gifted. I was concerned with the lack of cleanliness in the building, specifically the room where the sauna and hot tubs were. The sauna shouldâve had towels on the floor for sanitation purposes, as well as clean towels on the bench for us to sit on. It seems like the lights should have been turned on full blast and everything torn out of that room and built over. Nothing about this experience was a âretreatâ for me. My face was laying in the neck cradle and it smelled/seemed dirty. I kept needing to adjust my face to avoid touching anything with my face. I really didnât want to breathe in or out which made me tense during the massage. Iâm super bummed we spent this much money for this experience. I this felt like if the two therapists were in a better location it could have been so much better. Iâm sorry to have to say anything negative. On line booking is difficult to get an accurate picture of what you are...
Read moreClean, COVID compliant, professional, and accomodating. I booked an appointment online on a Tuesday for Thursday afternoon. On Wednesday, I realized I needed an earlier appointment and was able to change it online without any problem. I called just to make sure and they already had me scheduled for the adjusted time! I was impressed.
The massage and infrared sauna were both an extremely relaxing, comfortable and safe experience. I highly recommend this spa for anyone looking to add massage to their workout recovery plans or just as a special decompression day.
Side note. I'm familiar with the downtown area so I parked in F St. but up near 13th. There are always spots there, it's about $1.25 an hr to park, and the walk to the spa is about a 1/4 mile. I went at 10AM and there were several spots open near the spa too! I just didn't bither...
Read moreYesterday was my first visit to this Spa. I was a bit nervous walking in, the lobby area is tiny and there was some confusion as to who I was and why I was there, but that all got resolved and I was escorted back to a dark, colorful, comfortable massage room. I booked a 60 min Thai massage. The massage table is large, sturdy and clean. After undressing, I was checked on, given an eye mask and allowed to test and relax into the space. My massage therapist Tonya (sp?) was fabulous! She walked on my back and my thighs and calves. Massages me with her forarms and hands. She checked in just enough on pressure and asking for consent to touch some areas. We ended with some of the best stretching I've ever had. This kind of massage is exactly what I needed to help loosen up my muscles and I left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. I will...
