My husband really liked the layout, so we decided to apply. Paid $500 security deposit, filled everything out with the help of the manager right away. That's when the weird things started to happen. They started hesitating about every single document we provided, asking for additional documents while disappearing for a few days in between. We didn't quite think about it twice, and while waiting for their decision tried other complexes. Got approved in another building, so we informed that we no longer needed an apartment. They refused to return the security deposit though they never approved our application, it was still pending. The most disappointing situation ever. Since they have someone living there obviously cannot say that they scam people like this, but it's unacceptable! Highly recommend looking elsewhere, there are MANY other amazing buildings, and also right now the building is surrounded by tents of homeless people. Dangerous spot recently. To the idea1 response: Of course they can never find you in the system when comes to reviews like this. Their policy is the craziest I’ve ever seen. Again, if looking for an apartment in downtown, look elsewhere!

Don’t move here, the owners don’t care about the tenants here and are constantly raising rent and trying to charge you extra for parking etc each year. None of the amenities work, and when they do, they last about a month before breaking( Jacuzi, fire pits, etc) The few elevators they do have here break at least once a month so be prepared to be crammed into 1 working elevator every morning w 12 other people and waiting 5 minutes for the next elevator to come. Carpets in hall ways are gross, have dog piss stains and garbage juice trails all over them need to be ripped out,(they will only do so if enough people complain about them I was told by the Maintence crew here), homeless people constantly sneak into the parking garage and steal belongings out of storage units and break into peoples cars. But hey at least they provide pizza parties twice a year right?

Please don't waste time or money with this company. The staff is very unprofessional, I've been reaching out to Taniya Davis about my security deposit for months and she hasn't responded. I applied in January of this year never signed a lease agreement or received a key. They agreed in January to refund my deposit and stopped responding I contacted my credit card company and they reversed the charge until idea1 contacted them with my application as if my security deposit should have been held. Once again please do not apply here! They will scam you

So I lived in this complex for 4 months and here is what happened to me.

TOP DECK: When I first toured the complex the agent told me that it was open for use 24/7. That was not true its open till 10:30. Another is that there is a building in construction, it was up to the 4th floor only. The agent said that it won't go any higher so i won't block the view. A month later guess what? It got higher and blocked the view. What unethical way to get customers.

Security: It can't get worse. I had a couple of incidents. Once I was parked on the street next to the building and my window got smashed. I asked the security and they said they dont have cameras outside yet. Then why did you open without cameras? You are in east village. Another thing is that they have a bike rack in the complex so I had my bike locked up there. One night. Just one night later it got stolen. I went to the security and they said no cameras yet inside the complex either! And where was the security??? The thief must have spent sometime inside. To climb the gate and to cut the locks and to carry it outside where was he? I know, if its cold outside I find him just chilling in the gym. Even if someone's working out there. Or one time he was calling from outside because he forgot his keys inside. They're just bad.

QUALITY. The quality in the apartments is bad. The floor's get dirty easily and somehow they collect hair. I have short hair and if you look at my apartment you think I had for dog's. I was talking to one of the cleaning team. And they were saying the same thing. Another thing is the curtains I don't know why they're there. They don't provide shade or privacy if it's in the morning it doesn't block out any sun and that's so annoying. another thing is at night if you have the lights on everyone can see you from outside. The kitchen cabinets feel cheap and the sink is so small. However dishwasher and the rest are good quality since it's a new place.

PUBLIC SPACES. The public spaces is one of the main reasons I chose to live here. The top deck is nice. The gym is good. The centre area is nice as well. But its not for the tenants only. There are people who work here that use these spaces and sometimes they conquer them. I can't work out because they're having a workout session and take over the whole gym. What pisses me off the most is the music they play. In the morning everyday they play loud music and its impossible to sleep. On Sunday they do yoga in the centre area and have extremely high music. They're not even tenants. They also park inside the garage so if I'm out and then comeback to park my car sometimes they're in my parking spot. Its just frustrating.

PRICING. Its overpriced. Look at other apartments in the area and you will see the difference. EV living, market street village 13 and market all of them have bigger apartments and cheaper prices. The one bedrooms there is the same as a tiny studio with no balcony here.

LEASING OFFICE. So when I moved here, when I moved here they asked me if I want to refer someone I said yes and I gave them my friends name and his apartment number. This happened with two people. And its 300$ for each. 4 months passed and I come ask them every couple of weeks and every time they tell me it needs more time and I understood that. And when my bike was stolen the community manager promised to refund the bike cost which was around 400. So I went to the leasing office and the staff was changed. I asked the new one and the new agent was useless. He was rude and anything I told him he was saying where is your proof and how do I know if you're not lying and I can't help you. What do you mean where is my proof? What can I have as proof? I was in direct contact with the old leasing office. I talked to them every two weeks. Should I have recorded the conversations??? Calling me a liar is just disrespectful. I will be seeking to break my lease and I will update my review to tell you if they will be...

JULY 24, 2024 @1:01 PM HARASSMENT BY ASSISTANT MANAGER IDEA1 UPPER LEVEL MANAGEMENT/ FRIVOLOUS INVESTIGATION TO SHUT DOWN MY COMPLAINT.

I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL! I HAVE BEEN A TENANT HERE FOR 6 YEARS. ONLY BECAUSE OF THE CONVENIENCE TO MY PLACE OF WORK. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH 3 MANAGEMENT COMPANIES AT THIS PROPERTY. THE LATEST MANAGEMENT HERE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST. FAIRFIELD. The Maintenance department is great. I have no issues with them. When it comes the sales office. It's the complete opposite. FOR THIS COMPANY TO CONTINUE TO ALLOW THEIR ASSISTANT MANAGER WILLIAM TO CONTINUE WORKING AT THIS PROPERTY IS BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE. VERBAL HARRASSMENT OF TENANT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. THEN KAYLA THE ONSITE PROPERTY MANAGER BLOCKING ME FROM TALKING TO UPPER LEVEL MANAGEMENT ABOUT MY COMPLAINT IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. THE INVESTIGATION THAT WAS DONE FOR YOUR EMPLOYEE WILLIAM CAUSED WAS A FRIVOLOUS INVESTIGATION. UPPER LEVER LEVEL MANAGEMENT NEVER CONTACTED ME TO HEAR MY COMPLAINT AT ALL. HOW DOES UPPER LEVEL MANAGEMENT DO AN INVESTIGATION WITHOUT AT ALL CONTACTING THE IMMEDIATE PARTY THATS BEEN HARMED??? I TOLD YOU THAT DAY I DID NOT WANT TO DISCUSS THE PROBLEM IN THE OFFICE. I WANTED TO DISCUSS IT IN THE COURTYARD OF THE COMPLEX. I NEVER ASKED TO SPEAK TO YOU. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE REGIONAL MANAGER, BECAUSE THIS SITUATION WAS COMPROMISED. I PROMISED A CALL FROM THE REGIONAL MANAGER. I NEVER RECEIVED ONE... AND THEN YOU KAYLA WITH YOU BEING AFFILIATED WITH WILLIAM. YOUR ASSISTANT MANAGER., WITH ONE WAY INPUT. I DID'NT TRUST THAT FROM THE START. THEN DOING ALL BUSINESS BY EMAIL. THAT'S NO WAY TO CONDUCT BUSINESS. I'M A FULL PAYING TENANT. YOU GAVE ME ATTITUDE WHEN I ASKED YOU ABOUT THE MONTHLY PARKING FEE. NO ONE DISRESPECTED YOU. AS SOON AS I ASKED YOU ABOUT IT, YOU IMMEDIATELY COPPED AN ATTITUDE. DON'T TRY TO TURN THIS AROUND. WHAT YOU SAY IS GARBAGE. YOU PEOPLE ARE REAL DIRTY. THAT'S WHY I DID BOTHER TO RESPONS TO THAT B.S EMAIL YOU WROTE. OTHER THAN APARTMENTAL ISSUES, I HAVE NO REASON TO GO TO THE OFFICE AT ALL. BLOCKING A TENANT TO SPEAK WITH UPPER LEVEL MANAGEMENT IS COMPLETELY WRONG. THEM NOT CALLING BACK AFTER A HAILF DOZEN MESSAGES TO FIND OUT WHATS GOING IS WRONG. THEN WRITING SOME FRIVOLOUS CEASE AND DESIST FOR YOU TRYING TO SHUT THE HARRASSING COMPLAINT DOWN IS TOTALLY CRIMINAL. 2018 I actually liked the place until someone BROKE INTO my Garage storage unit...AND STOLE MY CANNODALE BICYCLE. THEY WIRE CUT THE FENCE of the unit to gain access to the door handle. I HAVE NOT EVEN LIVED HERE 5 MONTHS yet. No security cameras, no daytime security, transients COMING IN AND GOING AS THEY PLEASE. Get this..management knew about a series of bicycle thefts happening in our complex and did NOT notify the tenants about it.

I was not given any notice to make an informed decision.

Good or bad. The tenants need to know so we can protect ourselves.

If i would have known that, i would have moved my bikes out of there. Yes i had a 2nd bike in there. They took my best bike..both were covered up.

There are lot of things wrong in that inept leasing office. They have an emergency line and nobody gets back to you. I had to physically go downstairs to the office well into the afternoon to see what was going on. I called the evening before.

You handle the emergency calls first. A phone call or email a minute or to to acknowledge the problem.

I sent followup emails to the PROPERTY manager and the assistant manager about this incident and what it has done to my way living here. It has been 2 business and no response.

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MONUMENTAL KNOWING ABOUT THE BICYCLE THEFTS INSIDE OUR COMPLEX....

I’m going to start by saying I hate moving and apartment hunting, but Idea1 has completely changed my perspective. Even though Idea1 is a fairly large complex, it has a great sense of community, and they host community events regularly. They are having a tequila tasting!!! I had a tour with Diana and would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation. She knows her property and surrounding areas. She took the time to hear me out and acknowledge my concerns about living in the area. She answered all my questions, even about things not related to the property. She helped me narrow down my options since they have so many different floor plans, they truly do have something for everyone! I walked in not knowing what I wanted/needed. But with her help, I was able to land on two units that were just perfect. This was not just a tour but a look into my future. She would paint a picture of how my life would be in the complex. You can tell Idea1 cares about their residents and makes an effort to get to know them. During our tour we ran into some residents and Diana did not only greet them by their names, she also knew what floor they were going to. At that moment, I knew I was in the right place! My favorite part was the rooftop area. I can picture myself hosting my bridal shower there. The view is amazing. This complex would be perfect if they could offer additional parking for two-bedroom units. Although parking is fairly cheap compared to the rest of downtown, they only offer one parking spot, even for the two-bedroom units and penthouses. This is a must-see community if you are venturing...
