This weekend for Mothers Day, I took my Mom, daughter and granddaughter shopping in La Jolla to spend some fun time together. I had never been into a Lululemon store before and someone gave me a gift card I could not wait to check it out. We all put our masks on and went inside. It was very crowded that day I was a little surprised that they did not have a limit of the number of people because it was wall-to-wall people. That did not bother me at all, what did bother me was the gigantic very furry dog that was scratching itself and shaking and laying in the middle of this high-end store with everybody walking around and over it, and this was not a service dog by any means. My daughter said mom thatâs normal these days everybody takes their dogs everywhere. This is when the young man who works there came up to me and said maâam your mask is not covering your entire nose. So I said to him what about that big dog over there what if I had an allergy to dog hair or what if I had a fear of dogs is that OK? He said yes it is. So then I said so what youâre telling me is that dog over there whoâs getting dog hair all over your nice store and people are walking around it and you donât know if itâs gonna Pee on the floor or what is more welcome here than I am with my mask just below my nose. And he said yes the dog is more welcome. I was being nice to this guy as nice as I could but at this point I was in shock that what he was telling me is that it did not matter how crowded the store was or that there was a big furry dog in the middle of the floor, I did not have my mask on to his liking and therefore was not welcome in the store. I left the store did not purchase anything neither did my mom or my daughter so they lost some business over it I am saddened that weâve come to this point in our society I will never go back into a Lululemon again. Thanks to the young man who made my...
Read moreI went to this stores La Jolla location on a sunny Saturday wearing a cherry polkadot white sundress, pink glasses, and heart dotted socks -and was treated like a terrorist. In a time of need, when my phone was not working, I asked an employee if it would be possible to borrow the stores phone to call for help. However the employee looked at me like I was a terrorist, refused to help, and did not act as one should. What has this world come to? To be treated in such a heartless and cruel way, truly made me question how unethical people -and now brands- have become in todayâs day and age. Iâm highly disappointed with lululemon and their hired staff. I donât think anyone should be treated this way and was very disturbed by the disrespect when someone is in need. Donât bother shopping here anymore, they really only care about one thing -and...
Read moreThis lululemon is more intimate than others, with one of the best kept secrets. Nestled in a super walkable area of downtown La Jolla, just a stones throw from incredible cliff side views of the cove, they carry a great selection of menâs and womenâs apparel for active lifestyle.
Frequented by many local residents and countless visitors, the store educators are extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about not only product but what activities and events are happening locally for guests to connect deeper in the community.
One of the best kept secrets about this store are the open nooks located in the left front entry and community lounge located in the back to the right. These spaces are free for anyone to sit down and meet friends for conversation, read a book, enjoy a coffee, or answer some emails. One of my favorite post-surf hangouts....
