I really want to give this store a good review because it is one of the few places that uses a lot of fruits, and they don't freeze them.
BUT I have visited here 3 times. On 2 visits, there is an Asian girl who works here with a really bad attitude.
This last time I ordered a custom fruit only smoothie with no ice. SO I was charged an extra 3 dollars for having it made with no ice. Fine.
BUT the girl then argued with me, insisting that she must put mango inside the smoothie (mango is not one of the fruits that I ordered). She finally made the smoothie without the mango (like I originally asked) but she was banging things around in an angry way and dumping off negative energy (I don't know why she was so mad).
SO why do I give it one star because of 1 bad employee? Because obviously the person who hired her lacks judgment!!
Also worth mentioning - they use really low quality avocado here! Tasteless and stiff. Taste the avocado here VS peace pies and you'll see what I mean for those of you who don't know what good avocado is.
Another thing - I see them using greenish (unripe) bananas sometimes. Bananas should be solid yellow and be spotted for proper sweetness. Unripe fruits are very uncool and not recommended!! You guys need to buy more bananas and ripen them properly so ripe bananas are always on hand! Bananas are VERY CHEAP to buy wholesale so there is no excuse for not doing this!
Where can you go for good energy? Juice...
Read moreI recently discovered a charming location for boba lovers like myself, and it turned out to be the perfect pit stop on our journey. The place boasts an impressive variety of flavors, aligning well with my dietary preferences. Opting for a dairy-free treat, I chose the piña colada flavor, which was nothing short of delightful - a sweet and creamy concoction that I highly recommend to anyone with a similar taste for tropical flavors.
The ambiance of the boba shop is equally appealing. It's spacious, filled with natural light, and maintained with meticulous cleanliness, creating a very inviting atmosphere. The overall vibe is relaxed and positive, making it a pleasant place to sit back and enjoy your drink.
Moreover, this spot is notably dog-friendly, much like most places in La Jolla, which makes it an ideal stop if you're out with your pet. For those seeking a refreshing start to the day or a healthy snack, this boba shop is a fantastic option, offering not just delectable boba but also an array of healthy...
Read moreI've been here a few times and every time I'm consistently impressed by the quality and taste of what they have to offer. My personal favorites are their fresh watermelon slush (with boba), thai tea (with boba), their Hawaiian fruit punch smoothie, True Blood juice, and their sea salt coffee. For food I'd really recommend their curry noodle soup, since they make each to order and it's really reasonably priced. Also, their acai bowl is really good for the price as well. Pretty much everything I've tried has been great, so I'm sure I'll discover more favorites later.
As a side note/tip, I think this is easily the best boba in La Jolla and they'll pretty much add it to anything you ask them to.
The staff is really helpful and they are generally really fast at making your drinks. They have free WiFi for customers as well and places to plug in your computer. Plus, the place is immaculate, which is something you don't see...
