I visited Sandiego for a nursing conference and while I was there, i wanted to have a self care day, so I chose this location, solely based off the great reviews. My experience was a little different than the reviews I read. I booked an appointment online, when I got there I was greeted as if there was some type of confusion on why I was there. I then went on to inform the lady who greeted me that I had made an appointment online and that I was provided with a name of the person who was supposed to service me. She told me that person didn’t work there anymore. She asked me what services I needed, I told her. She asked me were I was from, I guess she figured I wasn’t from around there because I was the only different race in there besides the staff. She did a good enough job on my nails, I wasn’t completely dissatisfied. When I got in the pedicure chair, I was not asked what type of pedicure I wanted and the service overall felt a bit rushed. I hate to feel this way in today’s time but I honestly feel it was my ethnicity that caused the type of service I received. I could go on and on but honestly it’s not worth my energy. I have typed enough. If you are in the area visiting and choose this place, you may get a totally different experience. As for me, I didn’t. I felt...
Read moreThis is a predatory and dishonest salon. My husband and I visited PB and I researched nail salons before going. I read the reviews and checked their prices (as I do with every place before I go). I knew my husband and I could get a basic pedi each and a mani for me for $95 (before tip). When we walked in, they asked if we were visiting or if we lived there. I stated we were visiting. We both received our basic pedi’s and my husband paid while they finished my mani. I don’t do gel nails or fake nails and neither one of us added anything extra. I even brought my own formaldehyde-free nail polish. Because I knew how much it should cost, I didn’t ask him. Imagine my surprise when I saw they charged my credit card $161.20!! I’m now disputing it with my bank and am absolutely disgusted with their predatory and dishonest behavior. This is no way to run a business and I hope I can help save someone else from getting ripped off! Avoid this place at all costs based on their unethical and...
Read moreI've been going here for a few years and unfortunately, I feel like sometimes I'm just not being listened to. This last visit, I asked 2 people 3 separate times for an add- on. Everyone kept saying yes and sure and at the end it wasn't done. I kept trying to stop her, but she ignored me or kept saying what. After my toes were done and finally they realized what I had been asking about, they wanted to back track and do it, I just said forget it. It's frustrating, I don't know if I'm not understood or they're just not actively listening. I then asked for extra massage and 80% of it felt like dry gloves rubbing on my legs, not super enjoyable. I left just feeling much less relaxed and satisfied as I'd hope for 70$. And this is my one big self care treat to myself every other month. If this was the first time, I'd let it slide, but...
