I recently visited Pueblo and had a mixed experience. Let me start by highlighting the positive aspects of my visit. The waiter assigned to our table was exceptionally friendly and attentive. He checked on us numerous times throughout the meal, ensuring that we had everything we needed. This level of service was commendable. The interior design of Pueblo deserves a special mention. The incorporation of graffiti, Mexican decor, and the lush fat-plants garden surrounding the building creates a visually appealing atmosphere. It adds a unique touch to the overall ambiance, making the dining experience more enjoyable. However, I must admit that I was somewhat disappointed with the food. While the presentation of the fish tacos on a taco holder stand was visually pleasing, upon closer inspection, it became apparent that the taco fillings were skimped on. It seemed as if the owner had instructed the kitchen to prioritize cost-cutting over quality. The excessive use of cabbage, which served little purpose other than filling space, was disappointing. The buttered fish, while adequately prepared, lacked any standout flavors or impressive qualities. It gave off the impression of being frozen and deep-fried on the spot, rather than being freshly made. Similarly, the ceviche and the accompanying tomato sauce lacked the vibrant flavors I had hoped for, leaving them rather bland and watery. Perhaps the restaurant is striving to cut costs to sustain its business, despite the new and well-maintained interiors that suggest otherwise. It may be possible that the owner's approach to food preparation is driven more by profit margins than by providing a truly enjoyable dining experience. In conclusion, Pueblo offers a pleasant atmosphere with a friendly and attentive waiter. However, the mediocre quality of the food, especially the fish tacos and accompanying sauces, was disappointing. It leaves me questioning the motivations behind the food preparation and whether the owner's focus lies more on maximizing profits rather than delivering a memorable culinary experience.

Came here for dinner. We had reservations through Yelp so got seated immediately. It had a very classy upscale feel to it. A little different from the usually Mexican fare restaurants I go to. The menu is quite large but limited if you think of other mexican places, which have like 100 items on there! We ordered the spicy chorizo stuffed shrimp as an appetizer, spicy shrimp tacos and the lamb shank (borrego barbacoa). I also got the Pueblo Azul margarita. Everything was good except the tacos. The chorizo stuffed shrimp was very interesting. It comes bacon wrapped with a pineapple dip. I wouldn't have thought this combination would work but it did! They provide 4 jumbo shrimps so it's not too filling. The lamb shank was very good too! The sauce, omg. It tastes like mole sauce with a twist. That plate comes with rice, guac, salsa and tacos. It's big and my boyfriend couldn't finish it (he's the bigger eater). The tacos is comparison were disappointing. Pretty bland considering they are spicy and the beans accompanying them were salty. These are nothing like the tacos you get at taco stand or Salud which are my top two taco places. Loved the margarita and would've had another one if we didn't have other plans already. They have a small private lot to park and we we're lucky to find a spot there. Otherwise street parking it is. There are several public parking lots across the street. Overall good experience. It is pricy so will be here for a special event in the future :)

Update!! The owner replied to my review saying, that my review was bad only because they wouldn’t serve us alcoholic drinks. Little do they know! Nobody in my group ordered alcohol. My group contained myself my 16y daughter and my nanny. Having a late dinner our last night of family vacation! And we told our server RYAN, The TALL blonde male server all of our complaints! So my review stands as is! Nice looking place. The chips were nice. The rest of the Food was less than appealing. It was either under cooked or over cooked. The queso had thick gobs of cheese unmelted and it was very watery with a juicy liquid at the bottom. The tacos were hard to eat the shrimp were rubber and the beef was tough. The street corn was dry and extremely salty with no flavor. It was tough to bite into. The grilled chicken was soggy and stringy. The vegan quesadilla was not vegan. And it taste awful. When they brought back the newly made quesadilla it was without my side and toppings on a tiny plate. Our server was sweating so hard it was dripping on our table. And didn’t check on us more than once after receiving our food. Didn’t ask how the food was and was very rushed even tho we were 1 of 3 tables in the restaurant.

Definitely strongly recommend Pueblo. BIG THANKS TO HECTOR without his warm and friendly attitude we would not have considered Pueblo in the first place AND MICHAEL without whom this night would not have been as memorable. ♥️🙌🏼

We were in town searching for a fairly priced good quality fish. And believe it or not ... was pretty tough to find the perfect place. On our way home, we saw Pueblo and stopped to enquire about their menu. Thankfully, as soon as we set foot in the restaurant, Hector had the warmest welcome for us and helped us with our questions - we knew for sure we’d come back for dinner. And we did. If not for him, my satisfied tummy would not be so satisfied tonight !!

If you’re looking for some fresh seafood, Pueblo is the way to go. And with that quality of food and the staff’s confidence in their menu, I’m pretty sure even their steaks and chicken are divine to bite into. Personally I was pleased with my dish. I had the Daily Market Fish Filet - Pacific Sea Bass . The fish alone was surprisingly tasty and ever so tender. It was accompanied with a boozy white sauce that enhanced its taste thrice more and the crunchiness of the zucchini and corn brought it to perfection. As for the Vegans out there...THEY HAVE A MENU JUST TO ACCOMMODATE YOU! My partner had the Portobello Molcajete. He enjoyed this experience as a fun, fancy and unique way of eating Fajita bowl (for Torontonians). Hanging in a jacuzzi of a secret Pueblo house made salsa sauce - nothing like a typical salsa - there were zucchini, portobello mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, pickles and more. On the side was a bed of guacamole, beans, corns and tomatoes and of course the soft enchiladas. That last bit itself was enough for a dinner !

Koodos to our waiter Michael ! 🤙🏼 He went out of his way making sure my poor little sick self had everything to be comfy and took lots of patience explaining us all the fantastic details about the menu!

Mes compliments au chef !! 👨‍🍳 👩‍🍳 Ce fut un...

SO Disappointing! I had high hopes for this restaurant - the exterior is beautiful, the open air patio was lovely and especially nice during Covid. The menu looked promising.

I ordered the ahi tuna tostada which the menu said was prepared with (among other things) a crisp blue corn tortilla, mango, fresh herbs, micro greens, and ponzu sauce. Sounded delicious! It showed up without ANY mango, any herbs, any ponzu sauce or any micro greens - it was cucumber, jicama and tuna with a little avocado and one sprig of cilantro. SO pathetic, it didn't have any flavor whatsoever. Plus the fried tortilla wasn't blue corn, just a regular run of the mill tortilla. I said the the waiter that they must have brought the wrong thing, and she looked perplexed and took it away. The manager came over and told me that the kitchen staff must have "freelanced" and just did what they wanted. WHAT?!

So I re-ordered chicken flautas which were so greasy they weren't edible, and the guacamole on top (again) had so little flavor. Even some onions, lime, a little jalapeno would have been a welcome flavor addition! The cocktails at $11 a pop were also only so-so. They promised a whole lot of craft ingredients, which I think they also shorted me on. The bartender who was in charge of the cocktails was WAY more interested in watching the baseball game on television than taking care of all the patrons in the restaurant. I could see him from my table absent mindedly mixing drinks, not really taking pride in the finished product - and it showed in the taste I can tell you. It was a waste of an evening out and I would certainly not recommend ordering anything to be delivered from them since they cannot get the in-restaurant dishes done properly, they won't have much luck with delivery items and then you'll be home with a meh meal for a bunch of money. Cook it yourself and...
