Studio is located in an easy to walk to neighborhood, everything is clean and well organized in the space. I took two of the same class description this week with two different instructors and they were light years apart in style. Bri taught a challenging, yet traditional leaning class. She was thorough on form and corrections and adjusted reformers for height. Props were circle and ball. My personal preference is this style- something that resembles Pilates and posture queuing throughout, focus on control. Jess basically taught body pump class, where many of the women chose hand weights well above their ability causing form to be totally out the window. If I were to become a regular, I think I’d like the classes and descriptions to be delineated, so I can pursue contemporary and traditional Pilates as wanted. Or maybe levels? The 4all part isn’t working, and this is coming from an advanced traditional...
Read moreI took my first ever Pilates class at Point Pilates and let’s just say I am now obsessed!!! I have been active my entire life from gymnastics to running to weight training... for some reason I always pushed Pilates to the side and never gave it a shot and I’m so glad I finally did. Samantha is amazing and is so passionate about what she does, she really did make my first experience amazing. I love that Point Pilates is an intimate studio, Samantha always has her eyes on you to guide you throughout the whole class. For me, it has been intimidating to try out new/different types of workout classes because they tend to be larger classes which I find uncomfortable based on my fitness journey. I was so comfortable the entire time and that’s huge for me. I highly recommend giving Samatha and Point Pilates a shot, you won’t...
Read moreThe studio itself is nice and i never had issues parking. A couple great instructors. A couple who seemed to give tentative/half hearted instruction. If i show up for a guided class i dont really wanna be asked “would you guys like to do some floor work?”I prefer a little more command over a class. The reason i wont be returning is because in addition to losing your session (totally reasonable) if you cancel in less than 12 hours is that you are also charged $25 fee. There is no reason a customer should have to pay double especially given that the studio still could have time to refill that spot. I had also emailed them inquiring about session expirations (sessions shouldnt expire) and no response. Went to book my last 2 sessions. Gone. Im sure this info IS disclosed in fine print at time of purchase. If so,...
