**Update to review below: after emailing the patient feedback team, as instructed in their google response, I received a voicemail from a manager who never returned my call after leaving a message with her. I ended up reaching out to the BBB and it was then that I finally received a call from Scripps Patient Relations. The rep. was very kind and apologetic, promised to change the website verbiage, which he stated management had confirmed was unclear, and did assist me with my bill. I truly appreciate the Patient Relations Team care and concern. I just wish Scripps billing department had shown me the same care when I initially reached out so I would not have had to go through the BBB.
Beware!! The pricing they show on their website for services is the “cash pay” price according to their billing department and the amount they bill your insurance is higher than listed. They have changed the listed pricing since I made my complaint, but I thankfully took screenshots of the web pages before it was changed. After my appointment I received a bill for over $550 for a short nurse practitioner check-up and a rapid strep-test. When I tried to dispute the cost based on what was listed online their billing department said that since it was already processed by my insurance I was required to pay the higher amount billed to my insurance. The billing specialist said they never tell anyone that the price listed online is the cash pay price and that the amount billed to insurance companies is always higher. Since I have a high deductible plan I am now being told I have to pay this higher price, and was told I could have paid the “cash pay” pricing if I had paid at my visit before my insurance card was run, but it’s too late now. Their pricing listed on their website is false and misleading and I would never have gone to this clinic had I known the pricing would be that much higher. I hope my experience can save others from a similar fate. So sad because situations like these keep people from actually going to a doctor when they really need too! Terrible that Scripps is ok with charging these exorbitant prices and using misleading...
Read moreThis was the best clinic experience I’ve ever had! I was seen in less than two minutes, and I only had to wait for the doctor for a little. He adequately addressed my needs, but he also went above and beyond with his patient care. Joe B, the doctor who saw me, gave me a ton of specialist recommendations without me having to ask and effectively addressed my health concerns. I was also so grateful to the front desk staff who didn’t give me ugly looks when I walked in during a later hour (when I get off work) and quickly checked me in. My whole experience took less than 20 min, and I wasn’t rushed. This is the complete opposite of any clinic experience I’ve ever had. Thank you so much to the staff at...
Read moreNP Liza was dismissive and rude, barely even did an assessment on me. Seemed annoyed that I was even there. Made appointment for s/s of ear infection. When I told her my lymph nodes felt swollen and tender she said “that’s not normal”.. uhhh yeah, that’s why I came to the clinic.. She then said there was nothing she could do for me and I needed to go to urgent care. Urgent care for an ear infection?? Seems like she just wanted me out of her office so she could go back to not helping anyone. Don’t waste your time like I...
