I remember when they first open, I used to be a side loader for Coca-Cola I delivered it to them .They didn’t have that many choices but since I moved down here, I think they have the number one best sandwiches hands-down in ocean Beach by far.. I haven’t had all their sandwiches but my favorite one is the OB Philly even though they have so many choices now even with sides it’s a must try when you’re in Ocean Beach

Ordered a Julian Apple Pie for Thanksgiving. A relative bit into the decrepit delicacy and realized that it was covered in mold. Pie was in date and purchased the day we opened it. Additionally, we purchased some guacamole that was again in date, but looked far from it. This place may have a seriousness storage/ freshness issue. Be warned.

Maybe don’t offer “half sandwiches” if this is how you’re gonna execute that. This was not edible as a sandwich. If you want a sandwich you can actually eat the way it’s intended try Chris’s or Surfside.

Olive Tree Market has a fine selection of white and red wines to bring home with your left overs or if you are picking up your order. If wine is not your thing this corner store has the best selection of beer in all of Ocean Beach and Point Loma. I recommend the beer on the metal rack with a cork. Ask for Mike if you need assistance with finding something that matches your personal taste.

In the fridge is a wide assortment of locally crafted beers chilled and ready to go.

If you've never tried a Julian Apple Pie I strongly encourage you to do so. They are available at the counter and are seasonalky delivered from near by community Julian in the Laguna Mountains.

Having guests over? Stop in for the tasty cheese and cracker selection. Or grab some of the best tortilla chips available in Ocean Beach. Be sure the grab some fresh salsa...

Every time I find myself in Ocean Beach, a stop at Olive Tree Market is an absolute must. It’s become a bit of a ritual at this point—no trip feels complete without grabbing my favorite sandwich: the legendary James Dean. It’s my go-to every single time, and somehow it never disappoints.

The sandwiches here are hearty—so much so that my kids usually split one and are totally satisfied. Beyond the sandwiches, they’ve got a great selection of fresh, pre-made meals for those on the go, and the whole place has this local, neighborhood charm that makes it feel like a hidden gem tucked into a sunny OB corner.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, I can’t recommend Olive Tree Market enough. Fresh food, good vibes, and seriously excellent sandwiches....

God help you if you look like you don't have any money or use any card to have them deduce that you are poor because they will not serve you I literally went in there and I got something for somebody who was scared about going in and they gave me their EBT card and I was paying cash the for my order I gathered up my things for me and my new friend went up to the counter of which I noticed just about the best death stare I have ever seen in my life outsidefrom a cheesy super villain cartoon character and they literally told me to my face I could not shop there and they will not accept my payment. if you want a small dose of racism in the ocean Beach area this is the grocery store for you!
