Was very happy with my experience here. Came a bit over a month ago with my dad to sell some family heirloom gold coins for cash and after calling around Polyak was the most responsive and also gave the best price by far as well. The location wasn't bad and we were able to find metered street parking across the street from the store in the middle of the day without any problem. The sum of the coins we wanted to sell were over 10k, but Boris sorted us out. Now here's where things got a little tricky, he wrote us a company cheque for 9k but post-dated it for 2 days later, and we took the remainder in cash. Naturally we were a bit concerned about walking away without the money in hand, but we put the cheque through the bank the date it was written for (2 days later) and it cleared no problem, so everything was good! I wanted to sell some unused gold jewelry and did some research and found that Polyak Precious Metals had high reputation in the SF area. I first called them to ask about the process, they sounded very friendly, so I decided to give it a try. Anton was the guy who helped me. He weighed my pieces in front of me and was patient to show me the calculation for the value of every piece. He provided very good rate for my gold pieces. He rounded it up to whole dollar amount every time when there were cents. It may not be that much difference, only 1-2 dollars more, but as customer I felt they were kind and easy to work with. The transaction was easy and smooth beyond my expectation. The whole process took less than 15 mins. I left happily with cash. I will definitely choose them again in the future....

I've been acustomer of Polyak Precious Metals since 2015 even before the relocation/new ownership. I had great experiences and questionable ones. One with a lady at the old location, I asked her to test each bar so I would be comfortable that everything was on the up and up sunce I was a new customer. The second occassion was (according Boris it was his brother, as Boris was busy with another client), he told me the premium was $100 which I was confused because my prior purchase I was only charged $35, Boris's brother agitated and abrasive.
