Today is my last day at Spaces 3rd and Mission. Great location, staff is helpful and friendly. But let me tell you this place is dirty and janky. There’s often no towels in the men’s restroom. Coffee mugs and sugar packets will live on the common area tables for days. The tape they use to tape down the carpet is constantly coming up. There’s never enough spoons. When they do the dishes they don’t clean the mesh that catches the food from going down the drain so it’s just gross all the time. One of the refrigerators isn’t cold enough below safety standards so if you leave your food in there overnight it will go bad (and there is no sign warning you). Some of the outlets in the common area tables don’t work so you have to hunt for ones that do. There’s a nasty stain on one of the seating cushions in the break room. One of the kitchen sinks has no hot water. The water from the spout in the refrigerator is supposed to be filtered but the red light is on to fix it and they never have. I’ve been to three “Spaces” in SF and only this one is this poorly maintained. But like I said, site staff were great (not their fault; I blame poor...
Read moreI've heard from other members that this location has been going downhill for the last couple of years, but it's pretty undeniable at this point. One of the women's bathrooms (the one with 80% of the stalls) is entirely out of commission, and has had massive holes in the walls and caution tape over some of the stalls for as long as I've been here, even when it was open. Toilet paper frequently runs out in the other bathroom by the end of the day, especially if there are more than 2-3 women in the building. Paper towels are often not restocked for days at a time in the bathrooms. The front door buzzer is often neglected or broken, so if you don't have an access card you're just stranded on the sidewalk with all of your belongings trapped inside. The phone number on Google Maps does not reach the actual location - it sends you to an automatic global line that is impossible to navigate and does not provide any help. It's a pretty pathetic shell of a business at this point. Would absolutely not pay money...
Read moreMy business partner and I worked here half time since summer 2018 as only members for using the common area. The recently completed renovation unfortunately reduced the common area significantly and the combination of more people, less space, and frequent events at the adjacent Moscone center (caution: always leads to big influx of visitors) leads to what feels like in our opinion no longer a space we can work comfortably in because it's simply too busy and there is no longer enough space. We have decided to explore options for moving and are no longer actively recommending this space to others we meet. It felt as though it could have been more helpful and constructive if there had been more active communication about construction, price increases, thefts, maintenance issues, and...
