I think it would have been impossible for me to get to grips with DeFi without these lessons from Dan Ryder of PrimeDeFi. In 2024 I was even against crypto and we bought silver to have some asset that would keep its value. I changed my view in early January 2025 when I saw a YouTube segment with Dr Steve Turley interviewing Dan Ryder of PrimeDeFi under the segment title that Pr Trump was going to use crypto to mitigate US debt and the intention of Pr Trump to make the USA the crypto capital of the world. I wanted to become involved in this and to engage with it by providing liquidity in swap pools and receive a fee for doing that. Even though the fees are relatively small they would generate an income once they accumulate. The lessons are systematic and include practical aspects that ensure a grasp of the principles of carrying out the transfer of crypto safely, the way to find the pools, set them up, fund them and look after them. Of course so far I've only experienced stable coins like usdc and usdt that don't have a lot of volatility and these generated a yield of around 8% apr. But, still, these principles will hold good for the next step of engaging with pools that do have a lot more volatility and potentially a better apr. The cost of entering is a significant amount of money but, when i was living in the UK about 10 years earlier I was aware of one day workshops that cost 500 - 800GBP so the minimum entry fee of $3000 is ok. The higher echelon fee of $5800 I could not afford but I could see that as a reasonable fee to learn in such a thorough way something that could have yielded costly mistakes otherwise. I have had some problems but these were nothing to do with the course. I had a faulty ledger cold wallet and it took more than a week to solve that and the replacement is already on the way (from France!) . Also my internet sometimes switched off, which I noticed when I was doing Duolingo, and every 15 minutes or so had to stop my double/triple points to reconnect. I have since reset the WiFi router which has completely cleared that problem. So, soon I will be starting phase 2 of this course and should start to acquire more experience and be able to generate some money from funds that would otherwise be sitting in the bank and earning just 0.3% apr. By the way I'm an 'old guy', nearly 74, at the time of...
Read moreHello out there. If you were even considering getting into the crypto space, you should really think about joining our Prime DeFi group. I knew nothing about crypto. One day, I happened upon Dan’s (he is the “main man”) advertisement. Almost immediately, I felt that I could trust him. Then, after looking into this group, I really felt like this was my avenue to get into crypto.
I have not been disappointed. In fact, almost daily, I am impressed. The coursework is easy to follow and very thorough. There are calls several days of the week that one can participate in. Most importantly, the people of the community are all willing and ready to help when someone gets into a jam. It’s just super incredible. As far as I can tell at this juncture, my feelings about Dan were correct. He is a truly upstanding man.
I am still very much so a novice But I don’t feel awkward when asking questions. And for me, there’s an added bonus of the women in DeFi group. They meet weekly. And they are all warm and wonderful and knowledgeable.
OK, it’s not cheap. But if you have some extra money and want to get into the crypto space. I highly...
Read moreI signed up a year ago. I was expecting a good way to make semi-passive income. I dove into the coursework and invested small amounts in a few pairs. Personal life happened and I had to stop for a while. When I came back to it, I started the videos from the beginning (which were all re-made and excellent quality). All good. Then I got to the videos about what if my pairs are out of range (which they were), calculating geometric mean and making sure the new range doesn't have you lose money on your original investment. Geez. This is way more work than a semi-passive income venture should be, imo. It's very complex. Yes, Dan does a great job explaining everything and the video content is excellent. But it's also very difficult and complex. There are about 50 URL's that you have to keep track of for different things. I have a PhD and decent intellect. Even if I get to the point of understanding this better, I can't imagine feeling confident enough to invest enough capital to make it worth the time needed to manage and grow a well...
